I just got back from GP - chest has improved a bit so no more steroids but a third course of antibiotics prescribed and am officially now signed off until after Xmas. My boss will be thrilled !

I wouldn't be so sure. I've noticed the level in the cough medicine bottle has dropped substantially and the Sanatogen Tonic Wine is missing. Just to be on the safe side I would keep Athos out of the nursery and away from the medicine cabinet.

Today could be going better.

BIL had an epileptic seizure this morning, stopped breathing, possibly aspirated on vomit. He's being intubated and having a head CT as a precaution, and to see if it can explain why he didn't come round as normal.

I've been out to the shops today as am having a day at home so thought I should probably get some food in! Then had to go back out to shops as forgot something!

I'm having a rewatch of the whole series of TM today as have lots of knitting to do so will be able to concentrate on the Cardinal the TV at the same time!

Today is pre-prep day here - beds to be changed, fridge to be cleaned & lists updated. Final food shop will be tomorrow, town will be hellishly busy so the whole trip will need to be carried out like a surgical strike. Briefing of DCs at 1900 hours today, recap over breakfast tomorrow.

Washing machine cycle is coming to an end, time to strip the beds & get the next lot in.

Babymouse and I have returned from our travels about town. Bought essentials (batteries, tea lights and perishables from Lidl). We will now not starve over the 3 days or so the shops are shut Mr Mouse
We had a delightful trip to our favourite coffee place and shared a festive panini.

We then got on the bus home where we encountered our friendly neighbourhood alcoholic hobo. Babymouse has, unbeknownst to me, on a previous occasion befriended this man. I almost gave him a bottle of expensive whisky I'd bought or my second born to make him stop talking to me.

I must talk to that boy about people it's ok to make friends with.

Back from the supermarket. DH said he'd come along to "help". Now he might be bloody brilliant at getting intros to Tom Burke, but he's a nightmare with a fucking trolley. He thinks he's Lewis Hamilton, tearing up and down the aisles taking people out right, left and centre. Not that Lewis does, but you know what I mean. There's turkeys all over the shop because he has to have one just the right size. Then he lost his glasses which he said were tucked into his jumper, and we're traipsing up and down looking for them. They were found at home in the end.

Then he's loading stuff into someone else's trolley, and told the poor woman jokingly that she could pay for it as it's Christmas. So fucking embarrassing. Then I find him standing in a queue with a "this till is closing" notice on the end. And don't even mention the stacking of stuff on the conveyor. He'd got it piled a mile high and I'd got sprouts and boxes of mince pies and pigs in fucking blankets collapsing all over the place. Thank God it's only once a year.

Hmmmm. On the last actual RL Christmas Tesco's shop we did a few years ago, within 10 minutes of entering the store DH had had a row with a woman & rammed her trolley out of the way. That's when we started doing it online.
