Ah Drink, We're brought up to be practical in the countryside. I once spent a happy afternoon on the phone to my father drawing pictures and discussing the wiring in my flat and how to wire in a new extractor fan in the bathroom so that it had a manual override and didn't come on automatically every time I turned the light on (Who wants a nice relaxing bath to the soundtrack of a clattering fan?!)

My mother was a bit of a gibbering wreck at the thought of me playing with the wiring, but it was fine. I like wiring. It's all very logical if it's done right.

Dh is beyond miserable. Thanks for all the well wishes, but she has had a major stroke. Dh and all his brothers and sisters agreed that she NOT be re-suscitated. Eldest sister (born to be nurse - the kind you would want caring for you) said she thought she wouldn't make the weekend. Hence why they have all visited.
But she has since come round. But it is still expected that she might slip away imminently.
We are all praying it doesn't drag out for weeks and months, as we all know it can.

Oh Obs - poor DH, that's really rough for all of you. How are the boys doing?
