Helen get your head over a bowl full of steaming hot water with olbas oil in it if you have it and get a towel over your head. I'm not saying this as in I'm the first person ever to think of it, but used it months ago (having forgotten about said remedy) and it really did the trick.

I had a quizzical moment earlier today. I mistakenly ordered some washing POWDER on online shop. Have used those gel tablets for years. Opened drawer like the old days. Odd. But did v v v v v mucky muddy kits from weekend which I had only halfheartedly rinsed and they came up LOVELY. And the utility smells lovely. That hot soapy smell like laundrettes. Was quite a revelation.

Oh and DRINK. I did have a chuckle this morning about your blutacked wreath. I have a door hanger thing but no idea where it came from, it's a cast iron thing which I seem to have had forever. I think it depends whether you have a knocker etc. A friend of mine has a glass door and she has a hook on a big sucker thing.

at the risk of bombarding you with suggestions helen I found an aromatherapy oil containing eucalyptus, pine and tea tree oils really good. I put a few drops on a tissue in the bedroom at night if I feel a chesty cough coming on & haven't had a bad one since I started doing this. I use it with letus's method for blocked noses & sinuses. But be careful about putting it in the bath, the itching was worse than the coughing!
