What are they? Names, ages please!

I've got a ginger cat called Eric and he's nearly 10. Got him originally because we had mice in our last flat and despite the fact he never caught one (he's not very bright) he did "scare them away.

1 cat - Monte, 15 years old in June. She is fab at catching mice, and playing with them till they are dead and then eating them in front of either my front or back door. She is not so good at cleaning up the bits she doesn't want to eat and removing the stains from the pavers. She even caught a bird last summer, which my DH stood on when he went to get the mail - a real mess - thankfully my mum was staying with us at the time and cleaned that one up.

We have got Maddy, a beautiful 5 year old tortie, she is wonderful with ds and dotes on dh, doesn't like me so much since ds been on the scene!

OldieMum · 14/04/2004 22:01

Two cats, white with black ears and tails, brother and sister. When we got them from the Blue Cross, they were called Twinkle and Smudge. We couldn't live with these names, and re-named them Sydney and Adelaide, in honour of dh's Ozzie roots. They are now about 10 years old. Very calm, friendly and good at dodging dd, who crawls after them, screaming with delight, whenever they come within range.

carla · 14/04/2004 22:10

Yes - a Border Collie called Gemma - barks incessantly at any other dogs/our doorbell/people coming round the side of the house/6am now just 'cos it's early.

A rescue Springer Spaniel, who's learnt all her bad tricks. PS , barking at squirrels too, both of them

Slinky · 14/04/2004 22:21

Well, we've got 2 ginger female cats called Amber (5yrs) and Pippin (3yrs) - both from local Rescue centre after our other cat (male - Spider) died a couple of years back from cancer. Have been told by the Vet that it is very rare to have Ginger cats that are female - and here we are with 2!! He sexed them to double-check!!

Then we have our 2 rabbits - these are the "babies" of the rabbits at DD2 nursery. Was reliably informed that they were both male - until one day I caught them playing "piggy back ". Asked Vet to sex them whilst they were having their jabs and lo and behold they are male and female!! Male has now been snipped!! Girl is Millie and Boy is Billy

Then we have 2 goldfish - George and Chicken Nugget

MADDI · 14/04/2004 22:26
