Still not heard from anybody at cm.net (my daughter was the one they said they would sponsor) but deadline was today so can't do anything else about it (spent £50 on a dress as well) Just glad I didn't book train or hotel.

Still annoyed as when I got email from cm.net on Wed morning to say get in touch urgently and then when I do no reply, no messages returned and phone line unobtainable. My daughter was really excited about it and had to tell her today we wouldn't be going now.
Life sucks!!!!

christabel, that is really bad. does anyone know of any of the other parents who are supposed to manage cm net?, strange that one of them cant answer you.

on the home page it said there was a carlie, julia and a rogan I think. Ithink its funny that one goes away and all of them cant reply to you. Dont think theyre all the same people doyou lol

your poor little girl christabel. Iwould be p'd off too honey. Hope they got a good excuse but that still wont take away the fact that her hopes have been dashed and we all sitting here not knowing what the hell is going on.

If the owner gets her emails and that (as julie4travel said) then she would see the problems and it only takes 2 minutes to put an post on there to reassure people. THen again, what about all the others that work there? why arent they responding to anyone?? It doesnt stack up.

Im so annoyed about this that i went to bed early for work tomorrow and cant sleep. Was gonna look into this tomorrow night but couldnt wait until then. I can only imagine how you are feeling about that sponsorship thing if i feellike this!!

a lady trace2 posted on here this morning - she is a moderator on cm.net. if it was just a problem on site being down it would be sorted by now and i would have thought she would have posted on here by now to let everyone know.

says account suspended - so thats probably whats happened.

debs - agree with you about one of other people who run it could have come on here with a message - if they know whats going on.

Try and not get too stressed debs about the photos, I know if I was in your shoes I would be suspicious about the whole thing, but im sure the site is legit and the owners will get in contact asap when they know about your concerns.

I know this sounds silly but did you get the photos sent to a hotmail address, if you did have you looked in your junkmail folder ?

Been quite for us for the last couple of weeks, fingers crossed it starts to pick up now.

littlemadam- thanks thought your son had had more than one since returning to school so maybe i shouldn;t be worried. its just seems to have been quiet for so long and i felt i wasted a lot of time already with sw.

Morning, has anyone else found that MOT take forever to pay kids for jobs? Ds has done 2in july and august and not seen a bean as yet..

hi im not sure about mot, but my ds, waited about 3/4 months for payment and we are with kl, think a lot of the agencies take a while to pay, x

Try not to worry about CM.net, Isabel will be back online soon so I'm sure it will all be sorted out. I spoke to her a few days ago and she said she wouldn't be online for a few days so I doubt she knows about any of the problems going on.

I think it'd be better waiting for her to reply as she seems to be the only one on CM who gets things sorted!

hols was lovely. we went to eurodisney, and it was my 30th when we were there. I did it the day after we got back, so cases sat unpacked for days I don't think she is. She's not the most amiable little girl at the moment

Did ring British Isle line but engaged so emailed yesterday to see if they had heard direct from cm.net and explained situation but haven't had any replies back.
I'm putting this all down to experience as all new to this, my daughter recently won a competition to be the face of a magazine and it was only when I went to photoshoot with her that the photographer said I should think about putting her through to modelling. She is 7.
DK in Sheffield have said they would take her on but to be honest it doesn't seem that well paid £26 an hour. It may seem a lot but if I have to travel from yorkshire to say Manchester for a couple of hours for £52 it seems a lot of hassle. So I need to think about it.
Anybody do all agencies pay the same.

London agencies usually get you £45 an hour for catalouge shoots and you get paid for a minimum of 2. Magazine jobs are not that well paid.

As a rule our agency charge £50 an hour with a minimum 2 hour booking. They then take 25% from this. However, some jobs have special rates agreed and buyout factors involved!! The agency should tell you before each job - ours do anyway! But then for me the pleasure is seeing them in print not the money.

christabel ds is with dk and yes its £26 per hour, and we do travel to manchester ,but we also get jobs in yorkshire too.

Yes I know what you mean about seeing your child in a magazine. Seeing my daughter on the front cover of the glossy magazine is fantastic.

Anybody with Kidz Ltd or Tuesdays Child - what do they charge to join and what sort of work do you normally get. With Tuesdays Child you have to go to Cheshire where they are based for photos taken which is a long way from Yorkshire.
