More Harry Potter- Does anyone else think Snapes a goodie?

Having re-read The Half Blood Prince last week, I think he is on the right side, but no-one agrees with me! Anyone else sad enough to have an opinion on this?

How old is your DS Dior? I won't let my DS see anything past No 2 (he is 6) ... he saw Azkaban once and was petrified at the werewolf change scene ....

That was to Ron dying btw. Don't fancy him though. Ghosty, is nothing to be ashamed of, I myself have been known to read each book 5 times! It's EDUCATION you see, which is never wasted!

I think that's going to be Ron.

She kills off someone she didn't think she'd kill off.

That will be Ginny.

i can't believe any of you are doubting that snape is a goody.OF COURSE he is !!!!!! dumbledore ordered snape to kill him -that's what they were arguing about in the grounds of the school. dumbledore knew that malfoy was trying to kill him and didn't want him to do it beause as we know, when you kill someone your soul is torn in two-( and then put into horcruxes if you are vlodermort!). he has faith that malfoy isn't all bad and should not go to the dark side.he made snape promise that when the time came he would kill him so malfoy didn't.
that is why snape got so angry when harry called him a coward-he'd just done an incredibly brave thing, and he didn't hurt harry at all despite his anger.

Snape deffo a goodie. Just before Dumbledore died he looked at Snape and said "Please, Severus" (or similar). I think Snape was hesitating because he didn't want to do it and Dumbledore was telling him to do it. I think that there maybe something in the fact that Dumbledore had a pet phoenix...

Hermione and Ron; Harry and Ginny. If Ginny dies I don't think that Harry and Hermione would get together.

I am going to take a couple of days off work when the book comes out and read it cover to cover.

Cheesy, do you mean that phoenix is like D's familiar type thing, has put his soul in it now he is dead? Is very brainy, perhaps you should write next book, and don't kill Ron!

I wish I could stay with this thread but alas it is 11pm here and I really MUST go to bed .... will catch up with it in the morning ....

There is no way Harry can end up with Hermione - it would be like being with his sister ... eeeewwww ....

His heart would always be in his throat.

Ohmygod, nasty thought about snape as harry dad! But harry looks like his dad (not snape), so, phew, is allright. Expat, you're bringing me round a bit re harry and hermione....

Snape isn't his dad, but I've got a feeling he loved Lilly. Quite desperately.

I think he's got something for Malfoy's mother, too.

well i never thought he was a goody, but there was that whole back story about how he was abused as a child, which explains why he's sort of creepy but also forgives him for it. Dunno though, I think he'll turn out to be a baddy.
Hermione is far too cool to be with Ron isn't she? I guessed Ginny was destined for HP from when she was first introduced, but maybe Harry will end up with Hermione after all. Bit like Christina and Mark in Flambards.
Did anyone else find Order of the Phoenix a bit blah? I read it in French in a misguided effort to improve my vocabulary (a baguette is a wand, never knew that, but not very useful as vocab goes) so maybe it was just that that made it seem laborious to me.
