how did you meet dp/husband??/

i was on holiday in bodrum in turkey meet dp there he was 21 and i was nrly 27!!! i was on an 18-30 holday, meet dp in a bar on the last 3 days of holiday he was on his first few days. 81/2 yrs later and 2 lo later we are still together.

went with my friend after the holday never spoke to her again!!!!!

he was the best friend of at the time my dp who by the way was a complete wa*er 8 years later three kids and very happy - the grass was greener in my case

Met dh at uni when training to be a student counsellor - he was studying law and had just been to a moot so he was wearing a suit. I said to my friend afterwards, "Who's that old bloke in the suit?" (Dh is 10 years older than me). We were friends for a year before we decided to start a relationship. Three days later though we got engaged

Met in our local pub but had snogged two of his friends before him Was him i liked but never thought anything would happen as we are like chalk and cheese. Been together for 11years, married for 6and a half years with 2 kids. opposites attract!

Met DH at work, we both had a significant other at the time and it took us 3 years to get together! Happened on my leaving do night out, I got really pissed and him and his (then) girlfriend carried me to a taxi. We dropped her off first as she lived in town, then went to my house. He helped me to our back door and then snogged me! Both felt instantly guilty and tried to leave it at that but endless texts and meetings later we're still together, married and have one DS! What a naughty hussy I am

Dh knew my sister before he knew me. He knew my sister had a sister who lived in Ipswich and played the clarinet. So when he saw me in Ipswich, looking like my sister (we are identical twins) and playing the clarinet, he came up and said "Excuse me, but do you have a sister called Hilary?"

I said yes, and we became friends, but only got together as a couple a few years later.

went with my friend to an Animal Rights Group at University and he was the head of the group... somthing about the leftie/veggie/pot smoking/billy bragg/hunt sabbing/student thing made him very alluring!!!!!

15 years later...
2 kiddies/ 1 imminent/ veggie growing /organic/university lecturer/toned down leftie / still braggite / fab dad - still pretty alluring (though don't tell him i said so!)

First Russian lecture of first year of uni he sat next to me and at the end asked me to his room for a cup of tea where I accepted but didn't drink tea while we chatted and he used the most terrible chat up lines on me!

Worked though....6 months later he dumped me, almost a year after that he started turning up to things I was at and walking home with me after classes (we lived up the same way)His version of flirting is about as subtle as...something not very subtle anyway. Finally asked me out again whereupon I told him where to go as I was seeing someone else. A couple of months later someone dropped a brick on my head and we are nicely installed in our own little flat with a Bump on the way!

He was friends with my xh. We had known each other for 8 years without looking twice when absolutely out of the blue we just fell for each other. It was the weirdest thing. We were both still married to other people so nothing happened...then something did happen. It was all very innocent though We moved in together as soon as possible and I was pg (planned!) 4 months later...now we have lovely dd and have never looked back.

DH had moved in as a lodger at my folks house, supposedly for 3 weeks till he got a flat.

Mum was trying to pair him off with my older sister and he thought I was a lesbian, as mum told him I wasn't interested in boys (didn't help that I wore combat trousers and doc martins... and had never had a boyfriend before)

I completely lost my appetite, and lost about 2 stone. Mum told him to "let me down gently" but he admitted that he liked me too. We got engaged 2 weeks later, and have now been married 7 years and have 2 DSs.
