how did you meet dp/husband??/

i was on holiday in bodrum in turkey meet dp there he was 21 and i was nrly 27!!! i was on an 18-30 holday, meet dp in a bar on the last 3 days of holiday he was on his first few days. 81/2 yrs later and 2 lo later we are still together.

went with my friend after the holday never spoke to her again!!!!!

At work - I was PA to a client of his. Liked him as he took his dog with him everywhere - on site at jobs etc. A shaft of light hit his newly shorn head and harness clad bum as he climbed the scenery he was building whilst his dog sat loyally by. He was also very clever at all the things I'm not.

His (second ) wife had just left him as he worked too much. How did I not hear the deafening CLANG of the alarm bells? 3 dds and another dog later and here I am home alone as he's off round the world again. Sigh.

I met him at uni in halls. Shared a house with him in my 2nd and 3rd year. Got together just after I finished my 3rd year.

AT work, both of us just come out of bad relationships, first time he kissed me I ran away then decided I would be brave and told him "I did not want a relationship but would come and see him every Friday night for a s**g" He agreed!!! Anyway 6 years later and 2 children ......

I moved to the area and joined the lifeguard club where he was captain. We all went away for the weekend for the national championships and dh and I (and someone else) were put in a room together at the Travelodge. The chemistry hit, when we got back he gave me a lift home from the minibus and he's never left! We've been together 8 years and married for 6.

In France, both on year abroad from university, teaching in the same town. He was my drinking buddy all that year, we kept in touch when we got back and got together (after a couple of false starts) after we finished university and I moved to London.

The first time I saw him he was 13 and I was 11 & I thought he was a right idiot! A year later during the summer holidays his sister & him started hanging out with my friend & I and we ended up "going out"!

Ten years & one LO later & we're still together

At college.

We were 17 and the first time I saw him I thought 'mmmmmmm' and then spoke to him and though he was massively cool but a bit arrogant. (still do!!! he heeeee)

Then we saw each other around and I was really attractred to him. We were out in a club one night and he asked me out and we 'dated'.

Then we went our seperate ways. I went off to work, he was DJing. We kept bumping into each other and he'd always ask me out but I was always with someone else.

Then 10 years ago I bumped into him again and he asked me out again. I was single this time but thought oh he'll never call, but he did.

We dated again but I kept him at arms length as had been in a relationship for a long while and one I didn't want to be in but stayed as I was nursing his dying mother through cancer and she then passed away.

Anyway D wanted more and said 'look I can't just be freinds with you, I want you to be my girl'. (words to that effect) I was determined to not dive straight into another relationship so let him walk away.

A few nights later he was DJing on a radio station and I tuned in and he said 'ohhh nothing like airing your dirty laundry in public' and played "Missing" by Everything But the Girl who I love.

I rang the him while the tune was still playing and we've been together ever since.

We met on holiday too Hitchcock.

Gran Canaria 1995. Dh was at university in Falmouth at the time and I lived in Basingstoke. It took about 6 hours by train to get there so it was very much a long distance romance.

About a week into the holiday he said that one day he would marry me and my one and only thought was "OH...jesus christ I've got a right nutter on my hands here"

It wasn't until I saw him on home ground, in my home town for the first time that I knew he was right.

That was 11 yrs ago and we're expecting our 4th baby in January.

We met in the Congo, we were aid workers and I was replacing him but we overlapped by a few weeks. I walked into the office of the project I'd just arrived in and he was on the satellite phone. He held his hand out to me and I took it, and I had the biggest crush on him from then on. Not reciprocal though - he had a girlfriend, but we finally got together about a year later when we were on the same project together.

I met dh at a stag/hen party for a friend of mine and his.We were both pissed as farts and he spent the whole night fondling my tits ...god he was pissed!
That was in 1985 and we've been married for 18 yrs now

Started a new job just as relationship with fiance was falling apart. Strange odd bloke came into office, Ia sked receptionist 'is that the office nerd?'

she said yes

after 6 weeks we started dating; 4 weeks alter moved in together (though sped up by me living with XP / him with Mum issue); four weeks after got engaged; four weeks later engaged and here we are. this month it's eight years since we met, DS will be seven in December.

Ours was an office romance. We have been together for 13 years, married for 10 this November and have dd 8 and ds who will be 3 in December.
