Just newly-wed in a shell of a house that we had bought. Really took to DIY after that and we totally transfomed it. We sold the house last year and it really loooked the business in the time that we had it. Ive heard its a sh*t hole again.

Just finished training as a SALT in London, and having ill advised liaison with a paparazzo who lived in a squat near Old Street.

Hmm,what an arse he was.

alexsmum · 25/09/2006 09:41

i was 24 living in a flat in south london with my boyfriend( now dh!), working as a benefits advisor-coming home from work crying most nights at the unfairness of life and the system! Planning our wedding, and coping with our dodgy alcoholic neighbour who was always falling asleep drunk and leaving the gas on or leving cigarettes burning on the sofa. I was pretty much on first name terms with the all the firefighters at our local staion!

JessaJam · 25/09/2006 10:01

I was 18 and had just started work during my year out before uni, at a local NHS trust, as an office dogsbody.
I was still going out with my first serious bf (who is now DH) and we were planning our first proper holiday together - off to Florida in October.
Out virtually every weekend watching live bands (often bf's band). [nostalgic]

BettySpaghetti · 25/09/2006 13:11

DP and I had just bought our first house (and in those days had the energy to work, go out partying and have time to renovate the house)

LadyTophamHatt · 25/09/2006 13:13

I was 23 and had just started my articles in Johannesburg. Was meant to be in Financial Services but a crafty Afrikaans bloke in the Energy and Natural Resource group swapped me for another girl (whose skin colour he did not fancy ) and I got stuck on dire Oil audits for months! I kicked up a fuss but it was all denied (even though it was definitely true) - this totally changed the direction of my career from here onwards!

If that happened to me now, I would create merry hell but of course, I had only just started so was a small minnow in a big sea.

PinkTulips · 25/09/2006 13:15

starting secondary school down in cork

LadyTophamHatt · 25/09/2006 13:16

(I was just 23 BTW)

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 25/09/2006 13:17

26, just married and just moved to London. dh and i both in our first proper jobs (having spun out uni as long as possible). I was travelling to the Middle East every few weeks. We went drinking after work. clubbing every now and then. It was a fun time.

CountessDracula · 25/09/2006 13:18

I was living in Chiswick with dh, had no kids, no dog, good jobs, spent most of the time going out and partying!

iota · 25/09/2006 13:21

I was a career woman, living in the same house as now, with dh, and totally bricking it as my job (along with everyone else's in the company) was about to disappear

I was studying Law at a college in Oxford where I met people from Preston who influenced my decision to move there and are therefore responsible for my meeting my spouse and ruining my flippin' life!

I had ambitions you know!

I was almost 21, had been married almost a year, had just started a job in Dundee and was delighted because the job I had prior to that gave me nightmares, was living in the sticks in a house that needed loads of work done to it with hardly any money to do it. We were just about to go on holiday to Turkey (getting the priorities right as usual )!

MrsSpoon · 25/09/2006 14:01

Happy anniversary Kimi!

nailpolish · 25/09/2006 14:02
