I would have been 12. Just started Y8 at school. Not a good year. Can't believe that was 10 years ago!

eidsvold · 25/09/2006 03:48

about to go and live in a small country town to teach at the school there. Had bought my own house, been married and divorced. Blissfully enjoying single life.

eidsvold · 25/09/2006 03:49

Ah, if I could go back to my 26 year old skinny and beautiful self (no cellulite, toned and lovely) and give myself even half the confidence I have now I would have been the hottest chick around .... As it was I hid my light under a bushel until it was too late and everything started to head south for winter

IdrisTheDragon · 25/09/2006 06:45

Just about to go back to university for my 3rd year.

IdrisTheDragon · 25/09/2006 06:46

I was 21 as well

Earlybird · 25/09/2006 06:49

I had been back in London for a year after 10 years away living in New York City. Was completely in love with my ex, and preparing to go on an early autumn river rafting holiday in the Western USA with my dearest friends.

Spagblog · 25/09/2006 06:57

Working two jobs to pay for my very first wee little house! Driving a bright red cinquociento and living in sin with my now DH.

Pinkchampagne · 25/09/2006 07:36

10 years ago I was approaching my 24th birthday & had been dating H for 10 months.
I was working in a school in Dover which I really enjoyed.

foundintranslation · 25/09/2006 07:42

I was 19 and just back for my 2nd year at uni. Living in a student house, unhappily in love and spending a lot of fun times with a group of French business students.

lexiemum · 25/09/2006 07:59

JonesTheSteam · 25/09/2006 08:09

I was 24, sharing a house with two friends, teaching full time in a primary school, and had been going out DH just over a year.

FillyjonktheBananaEater · 25/09/2006 08:15

bummming round europe, mainly

smoking too much crap

writing appalling short stories which were an unholy cross between sartre/genet and, ffs, raymond carver. i actually had some published. but not really for money.

playing folk fiddle not so well, sometimes for money.

uh...

more things, i'm sure. those were the highlights.

Pixiefish · 25/09/2006 08:17

26, going through a divorce from my first h

trinityrhino · 25/09/2006 08:19

18, mixing with a not very good bunch of people, failing college and then got thrown out

nogoes · 25/09/2006 08:24

I was 24 recently married working in South Kensington and studying for a part time montessori diploma. Also partying way more than I do now.

Gingerbear · 25/09/2006 08:26

September 1996 - I was 33, had been married for a year and was trekking through Northern Thailand with DH. Had had a fantastic summer going to lots of festivals and camping with friends getting ever so drunk.

Tickle · 25/09/2006 08:41

Just wrote a reply, then realised I was a year out!! Doh...

I was 25. Had just had a weird summer, as I had planned a summer hol with my boyf, but he dumped me beforehand

So I went to Greece on my own (looking gorgeous of course, a la Ghosty!)...

to cut a long story short, he came out to meet me.

So a happy Tickle is back at work in Helsinki during the week, & London at weekends. Still not 'properly' back together, but that boyf is now DH, so I guess we worked it out!!!

admylin · 25/09/2006 08:44

If only I'd known then how slim I was, I always thought I was too fat and hated going to the swimming pool, but I was a size 12 and that wouldn't even look at me nowadays and I have to go to the swimming pool with the kids ahhhh!
