Ok you can have a half of Guinness then, it's good for you. How's it going?

susanmt · 22/05/2002 23:08

Not bad - pnd getting me down a bit! Ds is nearly 4 months

Rhubarb · 22/05/2002 23:09

In that case you need 'booze for'e baby!'. You got PND then? That's pretty bad, how're coping?

susanmt · 22/05/2002 23:10

Mumsnet needs a chatroom!!

Rhubarb · 22/05/2002 23:10

You're right there! Maybe we should start one! We've started a virtual pub after all - it's called the Mumsnet Arms by the way!

susanmt · 22/05/2002 23:11

bad today - but tomorrow will be better (keep telling myself that)

Rhubarb · 22/05/2002 23:13

Just take it day by day. Have you tried those Progestrone injections? I had those and they were really good, worked for me. Other than that I just hope you've got a supportive partner and family to help you get through it, and another half a Guinness on the house! Oh I feel like a real landlord that you can tell your troubles too, like in Cheers!

susanmt · 22/05/2002 23:14

I'm on tablets but theyre still not working (put up to TOP dose by doc this week). Trouble is they give me muscle spasms so need valium to sleep. UUUURgh

susanmt · 22/05/2002 23:15

And my dh is a gem. Took a weeks compassionate leave last week to look after me

Rhubarb · 22/05/2002 23:16

Oooh, that sounds bad! Have you looked at the pnd discussions on here? You know, seriously, a bit of alcohol could help to relax you, a glass of red wine each night will help you and baby sleep! Are you getting any support?

susanmt · 22/05/2002 23:16

anyway I am sorry but I am going to bed now as ds will be up at 4 and I need my beauty sleep - BADLY!!!

susanmt · 22/05/2002 23:17

i often have a wee glass before bed - in the bath - very nice

Rhubarb · 22/05/2002 23:19

I've just been raided by the pigs (dh) so have to do too. Time now ladies and gents please!!! Good luck Susan, hope you are feeling better soon!

OP posts:
Tinker · 02/07/2002 00:03

Will it help just to write down why you're upset?

Dixie · 02/07/2002 00:05

It's got worse.....my husband has walked out on us, me our 2yr old son & the new born (just over 2 weeks) I was distresed & upset enough as it was & still in pain recovering from the c-section & today it all come to a head...he said he doesn't love me any more & can't take living with me any longer....

Oh no, Dixie this is awful. I've just read your post. Obviously I don't know your situation but is it just that he's overwhelmed at the moment - not an excuse I know but..

Tinker · 02/07/2002 00:08

I feel really helpless here - can you call anyone just to talk and cry with?
