I'm sure we'll prove THIS theory!!!

Okay, the last 2 theories of mine were proved to be incorrect, but I feel far more confident about this one

I think that first born children look more like their dad than their mum and vice versa with 2nd borns (not sure about susequent children yet!)

My dd is a dead ringer for dh whereas ds looks far more like me.

Go on then, prove me wrong

Posey, I'm first born and look very like my dad...but my dd is first born and looks just like me.

Do I sort of cancel myself out with that one?

I'm a second child, I look more like my dad and my sister looks more like my mum.

Both my kids look more like me than their dads i think, but they're not here to compare....sorry!

I think both my elder brothers look like dad and I'm.... don't know really!

I can see more of my side of the family in DS1 than I can in DS2. Sorry.

DS looked just like his dad when he was born ... although he has the colouring of my family he is still his Dad's son ...
DD looks just like DS did at 7 weeks ... could be the same baby ... she has my chin though ...
What makes me laugh is that DS inherited my small hands and feet and DD has got her dad's flipper feet and huge hands ... poor girl ...

I'm the second child and look more like my dad. My elder sister doesn't really look like either of our parents. I have 1 child and I'm not sure who he looks like yet - probably more like his dad.

That doesn't really help much does it? Sorry

Eldest brother looks like my mum ...
Sister and next brother look like my dad
I (youngest) look like my mum ...

My eldest child (DD) is the absolute spit of me -yet my 2nd child is an image of DH.

My 3rd is a blonder version of DD1.

My first born is the spit of me to the point of being scary and he is a boy! My 2nd is spit of her Dad!

O.k, well i am 2nd born and do look frighteningly like my mom. My 1st born brother does look more like my dad than my mom i suppose.
My dd1 looks like her dads side of the family but not him in particular iykwim. dd2 looks like me and people say ds looks like his dad. They never say it twice

my ds is the spitting image of his dad and he was our first child! dd is very like me..My elder sister is spitting image of my mother, but when little like my dad..

That's not to say that me and dh are twins! To clarify, dd has got his curly hair and mouth shape, my eyes and eyebrows plus general face shape. Poor, poor child!

Ghosty - my dd too got her dad's (or more accurately his mother's) hands, spades we call them!
Ds has my tiny hands.

We're not proving anything yet are we and I was really confident about this one. Have been doing a bit of local research for days and it works on the whole round here

I'm first born, and look like my Mum AND Dad's sides. My ds looked like dh when he was born. However, he has matured (now 2y 8m) to look like my dad, although he has dh's family's eye set and eyebrows.

I was only saying last night that dd (first born) is a mini-me with better eyelashes and hair, whereas ds is a mini-dp with my colouring.

Well, our ds does look like his daddy but has my lips ... but I'm the eldest and spitting image of my mum, my younger sisters both look like our father. Not much help there, Posey.

Um...not here..sorry Posey! I'm the eldest and I'm my mum's doppelganger. Our graduation photos are sitting side by side in my parent's house and they really freak dh out.
Ds (only one so far) is also undoubtedly his mummy's boy.

My two are like peas in a pod. You really wouldn't be able to split their baby pictures correctly if I gave you a handful - infact, tested this out with ds's teacher and she got it wrong. However, everyone says ds is like his Dad and dd is like me.

Does that help, or not?

My bro is younger and looks like my mum

BUT before you get all smug I had an elder bro who died at birth , so no idea who he looked like, but wrong about me.

Well let's see:

I am the eldest and do take after my dad more than my mum, my brother doesn't really look like my mum though (although is more like her personality wise).

My DD looks and takes after me froma ll accounts, not her dad.

Well, I'm the 2nd born and I don't think I look like either of my parents but in personality I definitely take after my mum and my (first-born) sister definitely takes after my dad.

However, my (only) dd looks almost exactly like I did at her age.

My daughter is a mini-me as well, apparently. She's my first born but not her father's first born - will this skew your research?
