YummyMummy21 · 12/07/2006 23:59

where are active convos?

lanismum · 13/07/2006 00:01

i only do it just because im not working at the min, and have the time, my dd hasnt even had a job yet, but she gets castings, which to her are just a few mins of running around with other kids, im lucky as i never have to travel far to the castings, if i did, i wouldnt bother tbh.

cyan · 13/07/2006 00:01

i think there's so much stigma attached to mogelling, pushy mums , long hours etc. im not going to lie and say that doesnt happen but the majority of my ds work has been fun. hunker why dont you apply no sriously ive looked at the member profiles and they are cute kids

hunkermunker · 13/07/2006 00:01

Active convos

lanismum · 13/07/2006 00:02

just go to the last hour button, all the threads will come up.

hunkermunker · 13/07/2006 00:02

Oh, heavens, I'd have to ask about which agencies were best, learn initials like CK and BK and whatever and ask about upfront fees for photos and stuff - I'd sound like a newbie on MN...!

(And the Fish would wet herself laughing )

mimi1uk · 13/07/2006 00:05

I WAS OUT in a hummer last weekend on my birthday,,, what fun!

mimi1uk · 13/07/2006 00:05

whats the argument in breastfeeding ??????????

YummyMummy21 · 13/07/2006 00:05

Yep, I would say that the upside is being able to see them in something, and to keep it and show them when they are older, and for them to have the chance to buy themselves something nice when their older, that they might not have if they didnt have the extra pennies.

Downside: is the long travelling hours on hot trains, The waiting around for the next casting to come along which is sometimes months and months. Also travelling to a casting for an hour to only be there for 2 mins and then travelling back.

But I do enjoy it and have met some lovely people through DD modelling.

cyan · 13/07/2006 00:06

oh bollocks to the initials. there are a cpl of really sound agencies out there and tbh those are the ones that (from a cpl of months experience) id bother with. if my ds wasnt accepted by those then i wouldnt bother (thats just my opinion)!!!!

lanismum · 13/07/2006 00:07

well, im pretty sure from the pics iv seen of them they would be snapped up, depends on how good they are with strangers though, you never know, moggelers may take over, we already have misdee in our clutches, hunkers interested.....maybe the fish will show an interest next?

hunkermunker · 13/07/2006 00:08

Which ones, Cyan?

I'd have a problem with them being "the face of SMA2 or similar, though

hunkermunker · 13/07/2006 00:08

SMA, even.

cyan · 13/07/2006 00:08

oooh they are being sucked in to the oh so fabulous world of mogelling............

lanismum · 13/07/2006 00:09

what if they were offered a fruit shoot job...............

hunkermunker · 13/07/2006 00:09

Quite, Lanismum.

I don't think quinoa does adverts...

cyan · 13/07/2006 00:10

oh hunker dont worry between lanismum and myself i think we have boycotted most high st stores seeing as they havent wanted our lani and charlie

lanismum · 13/07/2006 00:10

the ones that everybody says are the best are urban angels, MOT, kids london, and bruce and brown.

cyan · 13/07/2006 00:10

hahaha fruitshoot have used urban angels i think

cyan · 13/07/2006 00:10

lanismum i was just gonna post that!!!

cyan · 13/07/2006 00:11
