sh11 · 15/12/2005 15:00

perfumelady · 15/12/2005 16:28

marymay any news yet?

marymay · 15/12/2005 17:01

perfumelady.i phoned the agency yesterday aylisa said she hadnt heard anything yet which at first i thought was a bit strange as you heard on tuesday.but thinking about it if our dd were going for different things maybe thats the way it works just checked the emails and nothing there yet .

kylesmybaby · 15/12/2005 20:07

sorry to be dumb but how do i know if mines in jpg format.

Mirage · 15/12/2005 20:13

I work part time & both my dd's model.Luckily I am self employed,so can rearrange my jobs so they don't clash. Also, the company the dd's work at try to work around them regarding not asking them to come in during nap times ect.If a modelling job comes in & its not at a good time for us,they will do their best to rearrange for another time or day.

We have never been to a casting,I'd imagine that there is a lot of waiting about? Not so good if you don't know how long you'll be.

Even so,I'd never be able to fit everything in without help.My sister had to take dd2 to a job this morning as all 4 of us had appointments at the same time in different places & there was no way I could have done it on my own.

tigeryuan · 15/12/2005 20:40

kylesmybaby - if you goto explore, goto the diectory where your photo located, right click your mouse, select view details, then you should be able to see your file type.
for jpg format, it should be JPEG Image.

tigeryuan · 15/12/2005 20:43

Mirage - thanks for sharing!

sh11 · 16/12/2005 09:22

hi is anyone with Allsorts? any experience or advice appreciated

tinkerbellchelle · 16/12/2005 09:56

Hi SH11, bless are you still making choices? Which agencies have offered you representation?
I havent ever heard of allsorts so cant help there sorry xxxx

tigeryuan · 16/12/2005 10:17

hahahehe -- just wondering that have you acceipted offer from kids london or still thinking

sh11 · 16/12/2005 10:55

tinkerbellechelle - hi see my post 'tue 13 dec' now offered allsorts, millenium kids. we are def with bk, just choosing between other smaller agencies.

sh11 · 16/12/2005 10:56

for everyone with BK - do u know it is possible to see under 3's on the website, so its not as secure as it should be..

lanismum · 16/12/2005 11:01

no i didnt know that? how can they be viewed without a password?

lanismum · 16/12/2005 11:04

actually, while i think of it, i was wondering why you cant view a 2 year old without a password, but anyone can view a 4 year old? confused........

tinkerbellchelle · 16/12/2005 11:13

I didnt think you could view under 3's?

lanismum · 16/12/2005 11:17

yes you can, but you need to be sent a password, so in theory only the parents can view.

tinkerbellchelle · 16/12/2005 11:20

yeah sorry I knew they needed a password as we have ours but SH11 said anyone can view?? Sorry maybe IM getting confused I thought it was password protected.

SH11 what is the benefit of going with lots of agencies? Just wondering do they cover different areas? Have you had to pay fee's for them all?? Good luck with them tho xxxx
Hey we might see u in jan at urban angels x

lanismum · 16/12/2005 11:21

well if you are confused so am i? oh well, maybe someone ill clear this up for us later, off to do more christmas shopping now

sh11 · 16/12/2005 11:38

anyone can view with or without password, I'm not sure whether to let them know and if they could do anything about it. The advantage of being with many agencies is just that u might get more work, as long as they dont all charge astronomical fees u'r not doing anything wrong

VinoQueen · 16/12/2005 12:01

Hi ladies - I have recently been offered a place for my daughter with BizzyKidz. It sounds great value but I dont quite understand why an agency would offer to represent your child for potentially 17 years. I mean even the cutest baby in the world might become quite a plain looking child. Wouldn't this mean that the agency runs the risk of a book full of ordinary kids who can't compete with the children who are contracted because of their good looks on a yearly basis? Say your child gets buck teeth/bad hair or whatever does the agency drop them? Would it be best to pay a bit more and go for an agency who re-contracts you yearly if your child is still modelling material? What do you all think would be best in the long term?

VinoQueen · 16/12/2005 13:13

Just read my message back and wanted to add that I'm not BK bashing - before I get jumped on! Like everyone -I just want to sign with an agency who is known in the trade for having great looking kids on their books. That way they must surely get more work??
