i mean do you stop them till they are 18 secretly scoffing choc when they are in bed
do you give them vgradual exposure ot it like a drug meanign that the sweets become a sought after object of desire

jesus can you imagine having her as your MIL?
" dear, your not eating again are you?"

NotQuiteCockney · 05/06/2006 23:50

And you'd learn to keep well away from her if there'd been a wine thingy at Waitrose.

And goodness knows what you could wear that wouldn't offend you, depending on your size, the season, and whatever was trendy that week.

(But it would be oh so easy to annoy her, that could be fun.)

Enid, aren't jars evil and abusive, yet sweets are OK?

Well I'm another one who doesn't allow sweets. But do allow chocolate and biscuits etc in moderation.

I just don't understand why a 2 year old needs to eat sweets...

Chocolate is quite acceptable (especially as I couldn't possibly live without it)...

Biscuits/cakes are ok in my book - but as I said in moderation.

I use the arguement that sweets make DD lopey (they have done when given by my SIL) so I ask that no-one gives them to her. But also sweets are just not good for her, and in my mind I can control what she eats at the moment, and until she feels as though she is missing out I will continue to do so.

DD doesn't mind as long as she can have chocolate. In fact when I asked her is she had any sweets last time she went to SIL house for afternoon (as she was lopey) she said no sweets are rubbish..... thats my girl.... Turned out the lopness was due to crappy squash juice she had drunk.. To can't cover all the basis...

OK, Arizona, I'll bite - new here, are you?

glassofwine · 08/06/2006 10:16

Everything in moderation.

Mind your teeth, hunker. LOL.
