Ds came home last night stating that, as part of his homework for this week, he has to make a pheasant - yes a bl(dy pheasant. No suggestions on how to make it - just make it.
Helpppppppp!!!!!!
I have been looking on the net today for pictures and nipped out at lunch time for some relevant coloured card, tissue paper, pipe cleaners etc. but I need some ideas on how he can actually do this. Best idea so far from the office ladies is make the body with papier mache over a balloon - sounds ok but then what.....
Any suggestions and simple ideas greatly appreciated - ds is 10 by the way but has very limited interest in anything crafty.

Looking at some of the other piccies on that site they would probably think I have a pheasant fetish!! Don't be silly, Janstar - kept myself well behind the camera - happy to let my hunky boy take the star role!!

Wow - that is bloody good, seriously impressed!

We soon have to make an Easter Garden - I may be coming to you all for help!

Brill.

Lillibet - I have had to make an Easter garden before - mine was lots of daffodils (flower shapes cut out of yellow car with the 'cup' part of eggboxes painted orange - stuck onto them - fixed with green pipe cleaners with leaves in green card stuck to them - the grass was scrunched up green tissue paper, we also painted eggs and stuck them on too - added a small soft bunny and that was it.

Ours has to be a Gethsemane type garden. We go to look at the Easter displays every year at school and this is the y6 project. It aggravates me as some of them are so obviously just made by parents.

Hulababy · 06/02/2004 17:10

Fantastic pheasant!

suedonim · 06/02/2004 17:50

That's marvellous, Jaybee, well done!

I hope Fred/Reginald isn't as stupid as the pheasant I met today. It was standing in the road so I beeped the horn to make it move. No response, it just blinked at me. In the end I had to get out of the car and shoo it over a fence! I think pheasants have been genetically modified to remove all brain cells, so they can be shot more easily.

I must say you did a fab job! Congrats I hope he gets an A.
