I read in a magazine, that she has recently intentionaly lost weight and is now happy as a size 4 Shock something to do with a catwalk job she has coming up.

US goes down to a 0 - when DD1 was working at a NY summer camp with 16-17yr olds last year there were size 0s amongst them.

Just googled - US 0 is an English 8 so US 4 would be UK 12 so she must mean UK 4

I know she is tiny but that's mad.

I'm a size 8 at 5 foot 4 and that is pretty skinny. wouldn't like to be any smaller.

Hm - just googled again, UK 4 is US 0 according to a designer dress agency - EU 30. That's still a silly size - her hips must be about 28!

That would be right as she claimed to be a US 0. My ex SIl was a US2 and she was tiny (was short as well though).

I was once, very briefly, about a UK 10-12 - 28" waist mens jeans? I'm 6' and that was seriously skinny. (Then I had kids. Now I'm much larger! But she has had 3 herself Shock)

That's unfair, I guess the reason we are all poo-poo-ing her statement is that she claims this as an achievement. But then I haven't read the article so I'm just gossiping really. Which is very unlike me.

i'm a 28 inch waist as a size 8. what sort of waist would a size 4 be? I would think more like 24 inches or 22. I used to be able to get into a size 4 US but that was when I weighed 7 stone and was no older than 24.

I have a 25 inch waist, and I'm a size 8 (in the hips though I spose) so I'd guess a four would be a 22 inch maybe 23 inch waist?
