... agree to go on a date with a married man?

My friend went out the other night and ended up kissing a man who confessed to her that he was married. At the end of the evening they exchanged e/mail addresses, now he's been in touch to say he would like to see her again.

Do you consider it morally wrong to agree to meet this man? Personally I feel that I wouldn't want to see him really considering that he's willing to do this to his wife.

plus if he treats his wife that way then what does that say about him?

Personally yes and I can never see why anyone would want to go out with someone who has a partner unless they were just after no strings sex.

It seems your friend doesn't seem to be bothered that he's married as they still exchanged emails even when he admitted he was married.

In her defence she's just coming out of a 10 year not-going-anywhere relationship with a complete loser and is just desperate for the positive attention. Takes the stance that it's his problem not hers, even though I don't agree with her there.

Take it he's done the whole "my wife doesn't understand me we never have sex its over but i'm staying for the kids blah blah" line?

And emkana, I know its not your fault, and you probably feel the same as me, but your friend should walk away, it will all end in heartbreak

Doesn't appear to have children.

I'm sure he'll give her the whole spiel about wife not understanding him etc...

Makes me sick really but my friend is feeling vulnerable atm so I have to tread (sp?) carefully.

Perhaps you are right VVV but vulnerable and meeting a married man are not the best combination. Agree with SL that if he can go behind his wife's back he is probably not good news.
