Im not 100% sure izzy but I think when we went for our casting and we hadnt offically joined she asked us to get the casting people to sign headed paper to confirm we had attended and she said when your regsitered you will have a invoice book... so Im guessing its for when we attend castings/jobs etc??

x

yackertyyack · 30/03/2006 15:07

Good news Tink! Grin....will email you later!!! Ohhh do you get a proper invoice book to use?? How posh!!! Saw ES and Rascals people with these at a shoot recently and I was jealous!..Perhaps that is why they charge such high fees!!Grin What do BG charge??

tinkerbellchelle · 30/03/2006 15:14

its £25 but thats taken out of a job :) Im sure about pics as I missed them cos we joined too late :)
speak 2 u later xx
bye everyone we're off out for a drink :) xxxx

mumjane · 30/03/2006 15:26

tinkerbellechelle - as I said before, watch out for those that just say £25 to join and nothing else etc.... ask what it is for and what normally happens is after a few months they recommend you go on the site, then in the book, etc etc then have shots, and thats when it gets expensive...!

mumjane · 30/03/2006 15:28

by the way mimi, i like it like this too!! It is sooo stupid when u go on a public forum, but then r frightened what to say or get accused of things for sharing your experiences. whats the point of not being allowed to mention certain things in a forum??!

tinkerbellchelle · 30/03/2006 15:35

hi mumjane... DP is having a shower so we're not going out yet

Thank you for your advice, but its only £25 thats it for everything ( except photos, ), they dont have a website but do have a book but we've missed the photos for that.
I think £25 to join is fine, seeming they are also taking it out job :) thank you though for warning me :)

totallyfloaty35 · 30/03/2006 15:45

calm down people, talk about any agency you like, just please no attacks!!my dd was with KL a top agent,we heard nothing and i didnt really get on with them, but i would never attack someone else for getting work from them, and plenty do,its the luck of the draw.
DD has been offered job for tues, just awaiting confirmation.oh and shes 10yrs old(so not all babies on here)
Had my scan today, all looked fine,i seem to be pregnant with a jumping bean Smile

yackertyyack · 30/03/2006 15:45

Tink - I think £25 admin fee is good especially when they take it out of earnings. That way to get their money it is in their interests to get your little one a casting or job. And you should get paid a casting fee so you will hopefully be in credit in no time!!!! Have a drink for me!!!! Large white wine spritzer please!!!Grin

Phew what a load of messages

Izzy, what i would say about the password thing is this... whilst I don't mind my kids being in mags, adverts etc the main reason for this is that they are non identifiable as such, no name, stats etc. I would have a problem with my childrens actual names statistics being there for all and sundry to see and to potentially get fixated on. A little while ago there was a thread on here where some mnetters were actually linking to pictures on model sites and taking the piss, I too would have a problem with this, particularly if they are identifying a kid by name.

Whilst I believe the BK thing is each to their own one thing i can't help but saying is this, if i came on a website and saw the amount of complaints that others have made about an agency (and I mean the sheer volume) there is no way on earth i would bother, so to all you that have Good Luck (and i sincerely mean that) but I reckon you are mad Grin.
Oh and before anyone jumps on me, yes people have had probs with other agencies but lets face it they have been more generalised than the very specific probs that BK have experienced.
But please do continue to post your experiences because if they are pulling their socks up its good to hear.

mesenfantsmaman · 30/03/2006 16:23

Oh and just to update you all shoot went really well, the girls had a fab time, having a break now until our casting next week x

mumjane · 30/03/2006 17:22

MESENFENTSMAN (sorry, i cant spell!): I really agree with you, although I would like to go back to my point that if there is a problem, you complain but if you are getting a good service u rarely comment...

Goo luck to all!

mimi1uk · 30/03/2006 18:29

i would send it recorded delivery as u would not want it gettingnlost in the post and having all the trouble getting another one

strawberrymilkshake · 30/03/2006 18:39

hi ya mimi yes your probably right there. Just so glad i have got it. So have you decided what other agency you are going to go with.

mimi1uk · 30/03/2006 18:41

well we had offers from little acorns scallywags rascals childsplay cheeky kidz and a few others but they all seem to be sole rep, i am thinking of applying to the dual rep ones someone mentioned to me earler inspired kids and kids london i think, are u just going to stivck with one agency

cyan · 30/03/2006 18:41

Hi Ladies just got in been to Milton Keynes today! and didnt spend a penny! well apart from lunch!

lanismum> will you be on later? also do u have msn messenger?

Tink> im also doing the work experience at Almay in May! Think a coupl of girls from night school may be doing it too!!! Need the practice to pass my course, and the free make-up was another bonus!

cyan · 30/03/2006 18:42

mimi, Kids London are sole rep, just to let you know x

strawberrymilkshake · 30/03/2006 18:43

Not sure, i will see how it goes i think, although people have mentioned MOT which is what i will probably think about if i decide to go with someone else. Do you think the agencies that you are with really mind even though there not sole rep.

cyan · 30/03/2006 18:47

hiya, i think they do as otherwise they wouldnt specify that they were sole rep? i think its mainly bcos clients may be faced with the same child, and it pisses them off. also looks v unprofessional on the agency. in some cases agencies will take the child off their books if caught out. who are you with again? x

mimi1uk · 30/03/2006 18:48

yep thats what i thought

strawberrymilkshake · 30/03/2006 18:48

BK

cyan · 30/03/2006 18:50

sorry just cant keep up with this thread at the mo! well Bk dont have an issue so y not try IK, MOT bcos they arent sole rep.

Norrie Carr, Elisabeth Smith, Kids London, Bubblegum, Urban Angels, all are. Smile
