New month, new start....let's keep it clean and come into the ring at the sound of the bell....

DING!!!!

I declare the NEW March 06 thread - OPEN!!!!

7up - I cant believe you have moved that many times. This is my 4th and every time I say never again. The last few weeks have been really stressful and I look rough (worse than my pregnancys!) I have a cold sore (which i haven't had since i was a kid) and spots. God I must be like going through puberty again!!!!

Perfumelady - Only going about 20 mins away to a village yet its quite remote out there so different to what i have now. Our main reason is for the kids schools (in the future) , our current upper school catchment is terrible and we think its better to move now whilst the kids are young and can adapt making new friends to when they are more settled in the future.

My son was really unsettled about a month ago as we hadn't found a property. His behaviour was terrible and I do not normally ever have problems out of him. His gym club teacher commented, drama group teacher and school teacher. His attitude was terrible. He is back on form now and really happy.

Typical I was going to book his assesments with agencys in a couple of weeks after we have moved. What did he do last night bang his mouth, blood everywhere and me having to pull out his front tooth. It has been wobbly for a little while yet as it come out sooner rather than later he has this massive gap. Its awful! He loves it as he thinks he looks like a pirate! I said what are you going to do for your photos and already he has struck his poses without showing his teeth. He has it almost to perfection little show off! Suppose I shouldn't complain....

LuxuryHolidays1 · 24/03/2006 22:23

hello everyone!!
izzy - i could do this sat., but i can't stay too long as got friends coming over for dinner!!
but, if we meet-up on the 8 Apr (sat.), i'll be free for the whole day!!

totallyfloaty35 - is the new issue out for next mth now?

mumjane · 27/03/2006 12:25

izzyrubi - My sis they were very scary too!! Very abrupt and a little rude, but there you go... The problem being is that she had a few probs with them (no work, abruptness etc) and when she called Trading Standards, she was told it was being looked into as were a lot of other child agencies and when i come in here for advice, i noticed that a lot of the agencies on here that are described as some of the best are also being looked in to by them, so I was worried to be honest and just wanted to let you all know!!!!!!!!

I dont know exactly what they are being investigated for, they wouldnt say, just that they are being looked into and they will be visiting premises of a lot of them to check them out??

Anyway, well done to the lady who has twins who will be in commercial! Wow!!!!!!!

2ManyPimms · 27/03/2006 13:38

I keep losing the plot! So much going on if you aren't logging in each day! Glad to see there are a bunch of new faces!!!! Welcome!

Well, it wasn't Weil's Disease. Just a nasty case of the 'flu (which they haven't been able to identify) which has now morphed into bronchitus (spelling?). Three freaking weeks of illness!!! At least I am losing a tonne of weight! :o

We are moving sometime between now and the beginning of May. (DH must have a garden for the summer - and we need to get away from "Ted the Household Rat"). I've been spoiled living in the centre of town, now I'll have to drive everywhere! Haven't found a place yet but DH put an offer in to let a house about 10 minutes away. Personally, I think he is taking the piss offering such a low rent - I'd say no, if it were my property. The bloke is in LA so we will have to wait until late this afternoon to find out if he is laughing at us or not!

Sorry about the blah blah blah blah...lots happened lately and nothing modelling related either! :( We'll probably get a call while we are on holiday next week. That'd figure, wouldn't it???

izzyrubi · 27/03/2006 13:56

2ManyPimms >> Where do you live? (Don't want your address obviously heheh) good lukc with the move, I hate moving and yet we've moved so many times, it's not funny! We've been in this house for three months and the plans are that we will stay for at least 5 years but we'll see!!!
I bet you'll get calls when you're away, it's always like that!!!

Tiger >> 8th of April sounds fine to me and then it's more time to see if more people can join us!

tigeryuan · 27/03/2006 14:03

izzyrubi - great! do you mind we meet at the coffee shop @ 11:50am inside the waterloo station (the one we met last time), then we could walk together to the giriff.

2ManyPimms - good luck!! i hate moving too, even i only moved once in this country.

2ManyPimms · 27/03/2006 14:06

Izzi - I live in St Albans. Since being married to DH we have moved 10 times (once a year!). Silly man won't settle down so I anticipate many more disorganised, stressful moves. (I am not the most sorted-out person in the world!!!).

hi all, dd went to les miserables audition today, she didn't get through but what an experiance, so glad we went,at least she will know what to expect next time. can't beleive how many theatres there are in the one area of london.

tinkerbellchelle · 27/03/2006 16:47

mimi1uk · 27/03/2006 23:03

have my first casting for my son. on weds any advice would be great ... its for BT... AD IN ITALY,, MICHELLE

tinkerbellchelle · 28/03/2006 06:04

mimi, sorry if I've missed it which agency did u go with in the end? I know you were choosing the other day.

Where is casting? There might be some other mumsnet people going how old is your lo?

With regards to advice on casting we've only had one so cant help much. GL tho

yackertyyack · 28/03/2006 08:41

Morning Tink.....your up early!!! Hope you and your little man are OK?? We never heard any more from the ad and seeing as they are shooting it this week we are guessing it was a no!!!!! Have you managed to decide what to do with regards to agents??? Are you going with BG or IK/EB/BK??? Its a nightmare choosing isn't it? Did you get my email the other day??? Hope you have a good day!

tinkerbellchelle · 28/03/2006 08:58

hiya hon :) yeah did get your email thanks :) we're good thanks :)
DP has to get up at 5 when he is on days and I couldnt sleep :)

no we didnt hear anymore back on commercial either, oh well.
We have decided to go with BG so having to send letters to IK, EB and BK :) I think tho cos of such a good start I just have a feeling it is right for us :)

hope everyone else is well. The sun is out here but dont think its gonna last!

yackertyyack · 28/03/2006 09:26

Sun is shining through my office window and I am trying to refrain from closing the blind but it means squinting at the PC which is not so good!!! Glad you were able to make a decision and yes it is an excellent start that they put you foward for jobs before you have even signed with them.....even by going to a casting at least you know they are getting work and are not scamming you. And at least if the fee is taken from the first job you have nothing to lose!! Grin Reckon you have made a good choice!!.....you can spend the IK photoshoot money on yourself!!!

7up · 28/03/2006 09:42

morning all

mimi1uk, good luck for your casting, well done.Smile

tinkerbellchelle · 28/03/2006 10:20

Morning 7UP :)

Yakerty > yeah think I will spend that IK money on me instead :) LOL :) Good Idea!!!

perfumelady · 28/03/2006 10:31

morning all
mimi1uk have you got to travel far to the casting? how old is your lo? an advert in italy wow. have you got passports in order just in case? i would say just relax don't worry about it castings are nothing to get excited about, you can have extremly long waits depending on how organised it is. you usually have to fill out a short form and then they take a photo or photo's but if it's for an advert they will take video footage so they can see what he looks like on the tv. good luck
