Dr's are being a pain over the gp note, no we need a very specific lisence for this job. Our welfare officer is doing it all for us but we are still waiting on the note. They want to actually see the girls to ascertain whether they are fit and well.

tinkerbellchelle · 24/03/2006 16:05

mykidsmum... lets hope it gets sorted for you :) how exciting!

mesenfantsmaman · 24/03/2006 16:09

izzyrubi · 24/03/2006 16:23

Hi everyone, thanx for all the nice msgs!
Went checking my home phone and had loads of msgs from the agencies snif snif snif it's always like that isn't it? When you can't make it loads of things come up!!
It does seem like it's been getting busy though, isn't it? DD has been put forward for a job with CK for next week, not sure if it will happen but she said she'd call today and let us know so fingers crossed.

I am totally knackered and to be honest quite glad to be back, I hate travelling long distances and to be honest I was completely insane to book the trip so far in pregnancy...

As for the whole BK issue I honestly think we should start a new thread called "BK: opinions" or "BK: bitchin" or something like that! It's non sense to keep going on and on and on about the same thing, it's just never ending isn't it?

Got dd's photos from IK on cd, there are 100's of photos and they are all beautiful but some are waaaay nicer than the ones they've put on the website, made me a bit upset, but then again same thing with CK, they didn't choose my fave ones...

SHA11 >> How did it go with BG and IK?

Tink >> Are we meeting tomorrow? Or shall we leave it for some other time?

Yackerty >> How are you keeping? How's pregnancy going?

7up · 24/03/2006 16:26

I didnt get a reply from my last post and just wondered whether any of you could help me. I just wanted to know whether anybody had any experience with Elisabeth Smith?

Thanks a lot!

mesenfantsmaman · 24/03/2006 16:44

They are six and will be shooting next wednesday, managed to sort all the licence stuff out and school are fine about it, they think its a great oppurtunity Smile

mesenfantsmaman · 24/03/2006 16:46

hi mumjane, they are a well established agency and get lots of work, think they charge a bit to join. No personal experience though x

WhatAPalava · 24/03/2006 16:50

Tinkerbellchelle - I am waiting for a response from Bubblegum but would like to know the start-up costs with them just in case they say yes. I see that you are with them. Could you possibly give me some idea of any potential outlay. Thanks!!!!!!

tinkerbellchelle · 24/03/2006 17:07

whataplava > the fee is £25 but it is taken out of their first job. With regards to any cost with photos Im not sure as Im sure linda said we had missed the shoot for this years book :) good luck

izzy > Im not sure everyone is meeting 2moro I think its been forgotten about but if we can arrange another one in the not too distant future I'd love to come x

mumjane · 24/03/2006 17:08

mesenfantsmaman - The reason for my post is basically that I am trying to find out more about them, as my sister has had a lot of problems with them recently... We have contacted the DTI and have been told that they are investigating them at the moment, along with loads of other really 'reputable' ones including Kids London, MOT and Bubblegum for differnt things and wanted to know whether anybody else has had any bad experience with them...

I am a little concerned as these agencies are the ones everybody seems to say are the best, so if these are the best, who are the worst??! Argh!

Does anybody else know about this????

tigeryuan · 24/03/2006 17:13

izzy - welcome back!! may be its better to postphone the meet-up, as you've jsut got back from SA.

mykidsmum -- excellent news!!

WhatAPalava · 24/03/2006 17:16

Thanks for that Tinkerbellchelle! Hope my daughter gets accepted - £25 seems really reasonable!

tinkerbellchelle · 24/03/2006 17:20

no problem whataplava :) good luck :)

7up · 24/03/2006 17:25

mumjane, dont mean to be rude but i dont think you;ll get much response about how agencies run, which is best etc coz theyres been a lot of nastiness on here over last few weeks. all i can say is, go with the info youve got on the agency and make the decision you think is best, good luckSmile

tinkerbellchelle · 24/03/2006 17:27

mumjane > I havent heard anything about these investigations... some other mums may have. The only one I knew about was BK ( but lets not talk about that one... please! ) lol Grin

tinkerbellchelle · 24/03/2006 17:28

mumjane · 24/03/2006 17:30

7up - im not trying to find out how agencies run etc or anything for my own children, i am trying to find out more about Elisabeth Smith for my sister, as she has had problems with them and we have been informed they are under investigation with the DTI and just wanted to know if anybody else knew about this??

tinkerbellechee-thanks for your help, i havent heard about BK, but the lady at the DTI said to my sister that a lot og agencies were being investigated at the moment as the rules and regulations etc are changing at the moment??
