Have ds who is 20months, he's called Sonny and had wanted that name for years and totally love it. In other words, when I was pregnant I knew what I'd call a boy but if we had a girl there wasn't a name I 'loved' enough to have IYKWIM. I'm planning to try again soon and I take ages making decisions so thought I best start this now

One's I like so far............

Girls Lola Lila Isla Ellie Summer Boys
Louie
Theo
Charlie
Levi

just looking for the one!

I love 'name' threads, also I'm 20wks pg and desparately seeking girl's names so keep the suggestions coming!

DD1 is Rudy Frances which obv. I really like but I can't really get a feel for any other girl's name, here's what we've got so far:

Dixie (don't know how well this will cross in to adult life)
Jess (nice but plain, would just have it as Jess nothing longer)
Madison (dp I think has vetoed this one tho)

DD was going to be Sonny Robert if a boy so we've decided to stick with that if this one's a boy. I really love the name Sonny and already think of it as 'my son's name' !!

lockets, how about celestina?

(it's the title of an eighteenth-century novel i read a while back, pretty & unusual i thought)

We always call her Madison although some people who we don't know too well call her Maddy.

Dh not all that keen on Maddy but no doubt she will get that when she starts school.

I love the name Elsie

Princessemma · 26/02/2006 21:42

My ds is called Lara I was a big fan of the TV program Casualty when I was pregnant and one the characters on that time was Lara Stone a beautiful doctor.
Now I am pregant again and got to pick another two names (one male one female).I can't choose any name with an ee sound at the end because my surname is Bradley and it sounds like a rhyme. I like girls names begining with S but not Sh, A, L, or R. Boys names I find harder to choose.
Madison is a great name for a boy or a girl. Mimi is a pretty name.

Our other names from last time were

Claudia
Harriet
Elize/Elise
Macy
and Harry for a boy.

Nbg · 26/02/2006 21:46

Isn't it weird what certain names make you think about?

See Primrose makes me think of Fifi and the flowertots and Primula????

But it's a lovely name

See now Kitty makes me think of that scene in Little Britain.

"I didn't push her, she fell"
