Im amazed that you can all remember all the different made up names for cream.

PeachyClair · 23/02/2006 15:16

I'm going to do this twice, once for real but am in rented so no say, once for what I had when could choose.

REAL:
pale yellow, magnolia, magnolia, magnolia, magnolia (X3), pale green / white tiles (see a pattern? )

Was:
Turquoise and silver, no dining room, cream with antique gold dados, and orange trees stencilled, golden yellow bottom, terracotta top half, heather my bedroom, kids room lime and yellow striped, wedgewood blue and cream, no downstairs loo.

Can you see a slight atste difference?

bright colours were actually in bedroom and on stairs when we bought house, previous owner was an artist, sound dodgy but were great.

Kitchen is Pale Green
Living room is Daffodil White
Hall/Stairs/Downstairs loo is a soft yellow colour under dado rail and white above
Our room/en-suite is white
ds1's room is pale blue
dd's room is pale pink
main bathroom is white
ds2's nursery is white (can you tell that white paint is cheap )

sounds a bit dull but I am really pleased with it as dh finally finished our room a few weeks ago after living with boring magnolia for 4 years!

kitchen will be very pale but not minty gree - some farrow and ball off white that hints green.
diing room will be a stone/bicuit colour.
Living room is soft pink (crown pashmina) and aubergine (crown armagnac ultra matt)
hall stairs and landing are magnolia
study is laura ashley eau de nil which I cannot recommend highly enough its gorgeous!
Everything else is yet to be done...

Kitchen: at the moment dark blue with beech colour cupboards and grey worktops. but i dont like it (paint was in sale). its far too dark, what was i thinking?
Dining room: ha like i have one
Living room: coffee colour and cream colour with beech colour skirtings, doors, frames etc.
Hall, stairs & landing: watermelon (not anywhere near as dark as it sounds) nothing like a watermelon actually, its kind of pastel, with dark wood (teak i think the stain was) stairs and bannister.
Bedroom: mauve and lilac. (in very bad need of decoration).
Bathroom: cream.
Downstairs loo: cream.

id really like one of those neutral magnolia houses...they look so nice. i just dont think i could live with it (or maintain it with all the dirty fingerprints).
