Kitchen - yellow
Dinning room - yellow
Living room - creamy yellow
Hall, stairs & landing - cream
Bedroom - off white with victorian green above picture rail (just redecorated, it was burgundy previously, it is much more restful in its new colours)
DS1's room - yellow
DS2's room - creamy yellow
Bathroom - off white, natural marble tiles (we have Farrow & Ball something or other on the woodwork in the bathroom)
Downstairs loo - Don't have one as yet but when it's finally put in I would like shocking pink but will probably go for cream/off white.

Magnolia..... not through choice..... Army house so even if we decorate it has to go back to magnolia when we leave! We accessorise instead.... Jess has painted wardrobes/chest of drawers and disney princess stick-a-rounds in her room, and we have jsut got Becky Lilac furniture for her room.... undecided which stick-a-rounds she will ahve though.

Jazzed up our room with colourful bed linen and living room has the girls proffesional photos up.

Other than that.... its plain and boring!

PiccadillyCircus · 22/02/2006 16:01

kitchen - apricot - same for dining area

living room - off white/creamy colour with blue contrast wall

hall stairs and landing - same as living room

dd1 bedroom - pale pink
dd2 bedroom pale yellow
our bedroom - to be decorated but magnolia at the moment

bathroom - to be decorated - will probably go a very light green colour

loo - same as bathroom

for the kitchen/dining area - you could do what we have done for our living area.... our living area has a little sunroom off it and it has a wal butno door.... the walls are the creammy off white colour and on the wall that faces away from the loungeroom we have done it in a contrast colour that you see as you come in the entry and walk from sun room to lounge room but the lounge room looks onto the cream wall iyswim.

eidsvold · 22/02/2006 21:27

dining area will be changed - just not sure what too, rumpus/play room - downstairs is cream/magnolia but not sure what it will be as we have a painted the floor a terracotta colour.

we have stripped the carpet and have polished wood floors upstairs....

Hallgerda · 22/02/2006 21:31

Kitchen - apple white
Dining room (actually "dinning" is its main function beige
Living room - same as dining room (same room, come to that
Hall, stairs and landing - magnolia below picture rail, white woodwork (banisters and picture rail)and salmon above
Bedroom - similar to hall, stairs and landing
Bathroom - blue
Downstairs loo - don't have one.
One and only loo - white.

Not desperately inspiring, but quite a bit of it's down to the previous owner.

WigWamBam · 22/02/2006 21:32

Kitchen: Pink and cream
Dining room: Shades of turquoise (more subtle than it sounds)
Living room: Raspberry
Hall, stairs, landing: Pale yellow
Bedroom: Magnolia and pale blue (dd's is lavender and yellow ... she wants it fuchsia pink)
Bathroom: Pink and cream
No downstairs loo but upstairs loo is a revolting pink floral wallpaper that we haven't got rid of since we moved in ... the cat is gradually stripping it off for us though!).

BettySpaghetti · 22/02/2006 21:34

kitchen -white (until we decide on what colour)
dining room - white ( " " " " " )
hall, stairs and landing - white ( " " " " " ")
Living room- Egyptian Cotton (beige/mushroomy type colour)
Bathroom- (duck-egg blue/green)
Downstairs loo - not even plastered yet, let alone painted
Bedroom - don't ask ( still the nasty, crappy striped wall paper that was here when we moved in)

(We've done a lot of building and renovation work going on, hence the half-finished approach)

purplemonkeydishwasher · 22/02/2006 21:35

kitchen - icky horrible tiles (off white - they were there when we moved in)
Dining Room - dark taupe
Living room - darkish blue
Hall, stairs & landing - icky horrible puffy wallpaper (see kitchen!)
Bedroom - soft sage
Bathroom - white tile and purple walls
Sitting Room - dark green

All the rooms have high ceilings painted white or off white so the dark colours work.

You don't have to do the dining room and kitchen the same colour but make sure they compliment each other.
