Want to start redecorating when Xp has finally gone and need some inspiration.

Also, my dinning room leads off my kitchen, has door way but no door, do i paint it the same colour as the kitchen od different colour ?

cream, although our house is virtually open plan so it has to be. dds room is pink as it has a door and the bathroom is covered in turquoise 70s swirly tiles as we havent decorated that yet.

My first flat was more colourful -

Hall, stairs & landing - milk chocolate (bottom) and peach melba (top) - this was my fav, looked so warm and welcoming.
Bedroom - one blue, one medium apple green (bottom), magnolia (top)
Bathroom - blue

I thinkif you went for a different colour it would have to be a very subtle change.

Bedroom Dd1 pink, dd2 white, ours white and mid-blue (it's going to be turquoise and cream with some wallpaper)

Downstairs loo dunno, haven't looked!

Kitchen - blue (Jet Stream by Crown) with cream tiles
Dining room - don't have one
Living room - cream wallpaper with v tasteful lilac floral thing
Hall, stairs and landing - woodchip painted white - not decorated yet but will be cream
Bedroom - pale blue, alcove wallpapered with Laura Ashley Summer palace - fab!
Dd's room - nice zingy green and lilac
Bathroom - nasty vinyl wallpaper with orange flowers - not decorated yet but will be white and more white I think

Hall stairs landing - my stairs are in my living room so same colour as that (live in rabbit hutch of a terrace)

Kitchen - Mocha with rough finished stone tiles on walls and faux slate floor
Dinning room - don't have one
Living room - sort of grey, dark wood floor, dark wood furniture, grey-ish settee (colour is Mocha but it's not Mocha to me)
Hall, stairs & landing - walls same colour as living room but blue-sh carpet
Bedroom - Mine dark dark red, dd's Cream (I expect this is soon to be pink everything)
Bathroom - Tobbacco stained white or cream(I think) yet to be ripped out after prev. owner

- dirty cream with blu-tack splodges & red crayon - elegant Shell and Taupe from Fired Earth (and big padlock on door ) - dark red from previous owners plus large sections of ripped wallpaper - light green with yellow damp stains - vile green - OTT tiles with golden scrolls and flourishes

maybe it's about time to decorate

My kitchen / dining room is an in-your-face shade of orange called 'Frenzy'. I would recommend it actually, it certainly slaps you awake in the morning
Living room is red.
Hall, stairs and landing are a sunny yellow.
Bedroom is a lovely soft creamy white from company I can't remember, 4 numbers in the name like 1804 or something?
Ds' room is always people's favourite, it's a very intense blue called 'Smalt'
Bathroom was not my choice but a nice clear pale turquoise, downstairs loo ditto

Kitchen - cream with terracota tiles.
Dining room - natural wicker and duck egg blue.
Lounge - natural wicker.
Landing and stairs - natural wicker.
Utility room - sage.
Our room - white and olive.
DD1 room - shocking pink and lilac.

Dining room - Green and beige blotchy wall paper not much of that around on here. As in two colours of the same type of wallpaper
Living room - Homebase - caramel cream with toffee cream squares painted on around the top
Hall stairs and landing - toffee cream with the big stairs wall painted a dark red - think it might be a Heritage colour
Our bedroom - B&Q stone
DS's bedroom - mid blue with bits of the dark red left over from the landing
DD's room - B&Q yellow with one wall in a blue with rainbow mural

Oh didn't realise you wanted all rooms - anyway, they all have neutral carpet and neutral walls! Colour using furniture, pictures etc.
