Bubblerock started this with her DH, and thought it might be good to do a MN one.
You have till Monday the 13th of FEB to find something in a charity shop for £1.50 or under...We will list them, link them and see who wins

are we still to post today?
got mine ready for listing later

Mascaraohara · 13/02/2006 12:59

I wanted to join in but haven't had a chance to get to charity shop. Might list later in the week if I get a chance otherwiseI'll just be watching all your stuff avidly!

bubblerock · 13/02/2006 16:59

Okay, I have my item - it was a bit of a last minute grab but I guess with charity shops you just never know what you will find from day to day. I will post a link when I've done it this evening.

bubblerock · 13/02/2006 17:01

Katz - course you can use that item, still counts doesn't it.

bubblerock · 13/02/2006 19:33

Okay - done the deed , I really don't feel to sure about this one - I didn't want clothing but unfortunately there were no Troika vases going begging in any of the charity shops this week!

bubblerocks listing

DH has hurt his foot but might be able to join in on Wednesday/Friday - I think he just doesn't want a rematch until he's found something fantastic!

mumfor1standfinaltime · 13/02/2006 19:43

This thread is great! I am always selling bits that I find in charity shops on ebay. Not selling anything at the moment though.

Best thing I have bought is an old 1930's card game for 50p. Sold it for £8!

Will pop to charity shop tomorrow me thinks...!

MarsOnLife · 13/02/2006 20:29

there! MarsLady's ebay listing! My very first lol

Squarer · 13/02/2006 20:38

Mars - add a postage cost - it will increase chances of a bid

chjlly · 13/02/2006 20:42

chjlly's listing
Not holding out a lot of hope though!!

MarsOnLife · 13/02/2006 20:54

how do I do that? It's the first time I've listed and what do you reckon it should be? The book is A4 sized and not too heavy. TIA

MarsOnLife · 13/02/2006 20:56

£2?

Lonelymum · 13/02/2006 20:57

I am not in on this game, but if you go and weigh the book Marsy (in grams) and come back here and tell me its weight, I can work out postage costs for you. (I am bored!)

MarsOnLife · 13/02/2006 20:58

weigh book..... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... oh yes have scales for baking. brb

MarsOnLife · 13/02/2006 20:59

Lonelymum · 13/02/2006 21:02

First class £2.15

Second class £1.75

MarsOnLife · 13/02/2006 21:02

Thank you LM Will edit my listing right away!

Lonelymum · 13/02/2006 21:03

Of course, that doesn't take into account packaging costs and weight.....

Anyway, good luck.

I wish I had the where withal to do Ebay as I have loads of stuff to sell.

MarsOnLife · 13/02/2006 21:06

Thank you Lonelymum (still don't like that name - makes me feel sad) and Squarer.

LM why don't you have the wherewithal to list on ebay?

Lonelymum · 13/02/2006 21:07

I don't know how to do photos, and I simply don't understand (despite being told!) how to do it. Don't you have to pay to list these things you are selling?

Jodee · 13/02/2006 21:08

Mars, was it easy peasy to list? I've bought loads but keep meaning to take the plunge and sell if it doesn't take too long? Can I just use a normal digi camera?

MarsOnLife · 13/02/2006 21:16

It was easy, but the first time is a bit longwinded.

Simply follow the instructions. You can always minimise the screen and shout for help on MN cos there are a fair few ebay Queens here.

If you upload your photos to the pc, when you choose your pic for the listing you press the browse button, select your photo from your files and then ok and it uploads to ebay.

Yes you have to pay for the listing. Today's listing cost me 20p. So I'm down 20p already lol. But they do have cheap listing days (except that everyone goes for those days which mean that in the end you probably don't get the high bids).

charliecat · 13/02/2006 21:27

heres mydds dolls house as I didnt manage to find anything...bet I dont even get the 99p Never Mind Just going to look at all the other listings ...
