Bubblerock started this with her DH, and thought it might be good to do a MN one.
You have till Monday the 13th of FEB to find something in a charity shop for £1.50 or under...We will list them, link them and see who wins

not til Monday. You may all find one and then I'll lose the comp lol.

It's a very boring item that DH has told me will sell well. Well he's the ebay king. I go on ebay to buy! lol

Mirage · 08/02/2006 21:46

Been to Uppingham today-nothing there, just 1 charity shop! How do they manage with just one?

I'm off to Melton Mowbray, charity shop central tomorrow, theres got to be something there.

GeorgieVickyLou · 08/02/2006 22:06

If I told you I bought a Tommee Tippee Nappy Wrapper for £1.50 would you believe me???

Ok, so it?s just some useless horrible piece of yes well, that I have lying around the house that I need to sell on Ebay but need an excuse as I feel bad for selling something so awful to some one so innocent (like I was all the months ago)

I?m rubbish haven?t even made it too the shop yet ? Tomorrow I will find the winning item (yeah right!) can we buy from the local pound shop? Has it got to be the charity shop??

JoolsToo · 08/02/2006 23:49

might try again tomorrow - it's just it all looks so ................. crap, you think 'who'd buy that?!' and then you think some fool paid 21 squiddlies for a fecking rupert scarf!

Skribble · 08/02/2006 23:54

MrsSpoon · 08/02/2006 23:57

bubblerock · 10/02/2006 17:21
  • I am officially panicking now, I just looked in every charity shop and I still haven't got anything!!! It was mental in town as well, crawling with police because of the Labour conference - I might go to St Annes tomorrow - it's quite posh there so I may pick up a bargain, but I can't believe how hard this is with a time limit!!

I will definately have something for Monday - even if it's the leopard print thong I saw in the Help the Aged shop [shudder]

charliecat · 10/02/2006 17:36

I have nothing either LOL. Going to have to root ot the bottom of the bargain bins tommrow I think!

Kaloo20 · 10/02/2006 23:37

Count me in - sounds like fun.

Was in High Street today and hadn't read this thread which means I need to go again tomorrow morning with 2 children in tow.

Mirage · 11/02/2006 20:24

Thanks for the tip Colditz.I 'did' Oakham on Monday, but found nothing.I did go to Grantham today though & was very impressed.I hadn't been for 14 years & it has changed a lot.I did find something but not sure who it'll do.

If it wasn't charity shops only,I'd be heading for Melton car boot tomorrow.I sold a plate that I bought there for £1 for £6.50 last night.

Have you found anything yet?

charliecat · 11/02/2006 20:25

I havent found anything? Going to put something or the kids on ...just so I have something to watch ...or shall we extend the deadline till ...er the end of the month?

OP posts:
MrsSpoon · 12/02/2006 17:19
