PrincessPeaHead · 13/01/2006 23:20

Honestly. She has even gone on the cookbook thread!!!!

You can stop now UCM

LadySherlockofLGJ · 13/01/2006 23:20

Has anyone E'd MN towers to have it banned ?

marthamoo · 13/01/2006 23:21

Not a troll. Just taking this too far.

OP posts:
LadySherlockofLGJ · 13/01/2006 23:21

WTF is going on ?

tamum · 13/01/2006 23:21

It's an awful situation but bumping lots of irrelevant threads is just going to irritate people. Not a troll, a genuine poster, but the wrong approach.

Carmenere · 13/01/2006 23:21

It's really upsetting me

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 13/01/2006 23:21

She not a troll.

She is trying to raise awareness of a case.

See this thread here

georginars · 13/01/2006 23:22

I'm really sorry - I opened one thread and intended to keep it to one.
UCM is not a troll though. UCM if you read this, thanks very much, but if people keep adding to the original thread, other people will still see it. Don't want to piss people off!

nutcracker · 13/01/2006 23:22

Yes please stop now. I doubt there is anyone that dosn't already know about it.

Mytwopenceworth · 13/01/2006 23:22

whats the problem? dont understand

LadySherlockofLGJ · 13/01/2006 23:23

Carmenere

My darling, where have you been ??

Carmenere · 13/01/2006 23:23

But anyone who has spent more than 10 minutes on mumsnet has probably come accross the relevant threads

PrincessPeaHead · 13/01/2006 23:24

sledgehammer approach almost certainly counterproductive, however.

it is with me, anyway

Carmenere · 13/01/2006 23:24

Hi there LGJ, I've been really ill, chest infection, ear infection, sinus infection. Too ill to even come to the computer

georginars · 13/01/2006 23:26

I know. One thread, the original one, is enough and people don't need to read it. Reading the details are upsetting. Please stop UCM, I know your heart is in the right place and it's an important issue, but annoying people isn't going to work. The original thread will stay bumped without any help, I reckon

LadySherlockofLGJ · 13/01/2006 23:26

I have been shouting you...........

Mytwopenceworth · 13/01/2006 23:27

ah now i know. ucm obviously feels very strongly and is trying to actually acheive something rather than sit back and shake her head and go oh dear isnt it tragic i hate to hear about such things dont tell me anymore its too upsetting. which to my great shame was my reaction to this story.

UCM · 13/01/2006 23:28

This is MUMsnet isn't it. I thought we were mums here and concerned about children. Sorry to be a PITA but I feel very strongly about this and intend to make as many people as possible aware of it. Sorry if it offends you, but I really really want these peoples sentences increased to life. If you think that they will have served enough time at 6 years & 2.5 years please let everyone else know as I reckon that the majority of MNetter's will let you know.

I am so sorry if I have upset anyone by doing this. Please reply to me personally at

[email protected]

and I will respond to your email.
I am sorry if I HAV

SueW · 13/01/2006 23:29

I'm really upset that a note about this has been posted to a thread on which some of us are discussing difficult times with our own children's health.

Whilst some might think our problems are trivial in comparison to the matter in question, they are very real, very big, very current and very upsetting to us. And posting about rape on a thread we're already upset on does nothing to help.

Please could someone arrange for UCM's post to be removed from the Education : I've just cried in front of ds's teachers.

UCM · 13/01/2006 23:30

Sorry was so annoyed about this I couldn't finish the sentence. BUT I AM planning to make as many people aware of this as possible.

georginars · 13/01/2006 23:32

Oh god I really, really didn't want this to happen when I started the original thread - I was worried enough about bumping it on the current conversations search in case I appeared to be a bit of a nut, and I agree that it's out of place on many threads - sorry you have been upset SueW.
I will contact Mumsnet HQ and apologise, and see if the posts can't be removed.

georginars · 13/01/2006 23:33

UCM, really trying not to get at you, but putting people's backs up always works out v.badly on Mumsnet it seems!

UCM · 13/01/2006 23:33

And yes I did go through threads which had more than 10 posts on. I am truly sorry if it offended & hurt you. I doubt that the baby involved had your choice though.

hunkermunker · 13/01/2006 23:33

Oh, FGS - this is totally counterproductive.
