I need a Job.....................

As some of yo know, I work in the theatre. Since leaving LOndon things have not been easy. My job does not exsist outside LOndon. I have done a few jobs up there but it does mean being away from the family for 8/10 weeks.

I trained as a Drama Teacher but have never taught. I am thinking that perhaps I need to start thinking about teaching. Even just doing some supply.

I need a job for my sanity.
I could do with the money.

I am not sure what else I coudl do.....and I am feeling rather shite and bored.

help???? Any Ideas????

It's not theatre but could utilise your other skills here maybe?

Pollyanna · 03/01/2006 17:35

beetroot have you spoken to Seabird about training as an NLP practitioner? She did the Paul McKenna courses last year. I'm sure if you CAT her she'd fill you in (I don't think she reads mumsnet much atm). I think it sounds v exciting, and v easy to fit around the children. There is a course running in February.

Beetrootfultoyourself · 03/01/2006 17:37

pollyanna, yes I saw that she did that.

I have freinds who are in NLP, they were not very complimentary about the Mckenna course. But I am going to see this mate and discuss the possiblity with her.

I would be interested in doing an NLP course, (more for myself than to as a career move, but you never know...). It would be interesting to find out what your friends recommend.

Beetrootfultoyourself · 03/01/2006 17:39

motherinferior · 03/01/2006 17:45

I regularly trollop round for work, in a different field - and have found that the only real way to go about it just targeting anyone who might have some, and making sure they've got my details. It does pay off....

Beetrootfultoyourself · 03/01/2006 17:47

i do regularly send my CV about. trouble is so few jobs, colsed shop etc etc.
