Feeling so sad

I haven't gone out (as you'll have gueesed by now).

I text my friend as soon as I left work at 6.45 to see if she'd had any luck getting a sitter.

She eventually texts back at 7.45 to say that she had one and was already out.

She wanted me to go join her (as an after thought) but the kids were already going to bed so no one to drop me off.

Am sat here now thinking she obviously never wanted me to go in the first place.

So actually the one friend I thought I did have, I obviously don't really.

oh nutcracker sorry it turned out like that.

i have been in similar situations, and felt like my friends obviously didn't give a shit. but sometimes it is just your take on it. she may have had her reasons... maybe she thought you had already decided not to go. maybe she genuinely didn't get the text until later... i don't know

No she didn't know anything about it, I told her I would defo go if she got a sitter.

She'll wanna be my friend again when she starts back at placement and needs me to take her dd to school.

Well I missed the beginning of this, nutty, but maybe she had just assumed that because of her not knowing until late, you wouldn't be able to get away? Don't put yourself down, chuck

you don't need friends like that... been there done that and in the end realised that however much i was pleased when we did go out it didn't make up for the times when i was pushed aside and left out.

I'm stuck in too - we'll have to set up a "those who tried to go out and didn't quite make it" support group! All my attempts to go out have been cleverly foiled by the gastro-enteritis bug!!

I'm having a very pleasant low key evening actually....so hope you are feeling a little less blue.

That made me laugh at least Tamba, quite an achievment today really.

If a taxi pulled up now, i'd still go cos thats how much I wanted to go int the first place.
