Because it's the auction for "things that money can't buy"

ok Terry, I have no money, can I go on the set of Dr Who?

Can I go and meet Janet McTeer and Harriet Walter?

And when you say that someone has paid ten thousand pounds, do you mean pounds of turnips?

Been listening to Classic FM this week

I think SK has regular drying-out breaks, when the much more congenial Lynne somebody or other nobly stands in. She is off a lot and I have not forgotten the strikingly inept cut and paste they had to do for SK on some Radio Times group Radio 2 photo. Everyone else made it, including Johnnie Walker who was having chemo at the time.

Tinker · 16/11/2005 14:03

She does have lots of "holidays". Am sure have heard stories of lushness before

Marina · 16/11/2005 14:03

Kayleigh, I have lost your e-mail addresses
It is so NICE to see you around!

marthamoo · 16/11/2005 14:03

You're a bit of a closet R2 nerd aren't you, Marina ?

Tinker · 16/11/2005 14:04

x posts Marina

Marina · 16/11/2005 14:05

OMG, can you imagine winning that at auction Malory! Shades of Father Jack Hackett in pink cashmere...

Marina · 16/11/2005 14:06

Nerd, moi? Just because I have a much kissed photo of ousted Richard Allinson under my pillow, I am no R2 nerd

Tinker · 16/11/2005 14:07

Richard Allinson is awful Marina. Sounds like Gary Davies

Kayleigh · 16/11/2005 14:07

Hi Marina - will email you X

Marina · 16/11/2005 14:09

He plays good music though, or did until lard-by-name, lard-by-nature muscled in on his patch.
Gary Davies, what an insult! Next you'll be saying he has a haircut like Bruno Brookes
(Please do Kayleigh, there is a city lunch coming up you know x)
It's not too late for me to crowbar open the Barbican Centre postbox and retrieve my Annabel Karmel you know tinker...

Tinker · 16/11/2005 14:11

Fortunately, I've never seen him

anorak · 16/11/2005 14:37

Never mind Kayleigh you won't have time to watch it Friday night, you'll be out with me eh?

Should increase the attendance at school anyway.

Marina · 16/11/2005 14:37

Are you taking group bookings anorak?

moondog · 16/11/2005 14:41

I hate fecking Children in Need.
The idea that the proles are gagging at the bit to 'mix with the stars'. Bleaarghh.
Tennis with Johnathon Ross?
I would rather be taken up the arse by the local Rotary club.

Twice.

littlemissbossy · 16/11/2005 14:43

It's a school Christmas thingy Marina. You could always contact Kayleigh if you fancy escaping from our leprechaun friend. I'm sure she'll be pleased to invite you along

oooh yes, it's a ladies indulgence evening at our local school Marina. Indian head massage, pedicures, reflexology, thai massage. All very tranquil and not a newsreader in a skirt in sight

LadySherlockofLGJ · 16/11/2005 15:23
