Hahahaha - designer uterus me!!!

Quodlibet · 25/08/2011 11:20

How is everyone today?
Wondering how WYorks is doing, she's due today!

Well the exciting news over here is that MrQ and I had a very relaxed conversation last night during which we agreed that starting TTC in November was a good idea . So I'll maybe only be a year behind some of you Grin. It probably seems like such a tiny thing, but having him actually commit to a starting date means a huge amount to me!

MrsSatsuma · 25/08/2011 18:16

Quod that's not tiny at all, that's great news!! Hooray for Mr Quod too! Ooh just think - this time next year... Grin

Feeling rubbish today. Went out with a friend last night, who I've not been out with on my own before, and worried constantly what he thought of me. Stupid!!! Feeling like a ragdoll today. Gah.

100years · 26/08/2011 14:14

Quod, yeah if it comes true then it's only just over a week to wait!!! Dreams can be good to sort things out. Yay for november TTC :) That's when we started :)

Bebe, hope you feel better soon.

SPR, glad the scan went well. What is your EDD now then? When can we expect a mini SPR?

MrsS - hugs :(

This week for me has been a bit of an up and down week. What with hormones running riot around my system, woke on Wednesday to a broken fridge freezer, scan wed afternoon (was all fine) and then a cock up with my notes at the hosp meant I burst into tears in the hospital waiting room, felt all miserable all evening wednesday, fridge bloke came yesterday and it can't be fixed and as it's a built in fridge freezer has to be a certain dimension to fit in the cupboard so no idea when that will come. So it's not been the easiest of weeks this week.

Littlest niece is now out of hospital again :) Phew, she ended up having 3 nights in there altogether.

Scan was good, although I think they may have the measurements slightly out as the head is very low, they have estimated about 7lb5 but I am not all that convinced and reckon she is a little bigger than that.

Looking forward to the weekend with OH, bank holiday long weekend and all that. And getting slightly impatient about the impending arrival, would like to meet LO now. Gone back to feeling more and more tired. Resting lots in prep though.

Hi all, sorry haven't had time to read everyones news.

Just a quickie to let you know that William Michael was born at 5.04pm on Wednesday 24th August. He weighed 7lb 8oz. We are both fine and just got home from hospital. We were having feeding problems so had to stay in for a few nights. Photo wil follow on profile.

MrsSatsuma · 27/08/2011 13:57

WYorks that's wonderful news!!!! Many congratulations Smile Hope you're recovering well. Ooh how exciting!!!

Quodlibet · 27/08/2011 15:29

Congratulations WYorks! Fantastic news. Looking forward to seeing a photo!

bebejones · 27/08/2011 19:34

Yay!! Congrats WYorks!!!! :o He was nearly here on your EDD wasn't he? Can't wait to see a pic! :)

100years · 27/08/2011 21:50

Brilliant news WYorks. Congratulations. Lovely weight and lovely name. Enjoy your time together as a new family. :)

bebejones · 29/08/2011 07:37

Where is everyone? It's so quiet in here these days :( Hope everyone is having a lovely bank holiday.

Wish me luck have the MIL coming over today, not my idea of a relaxing family bank holiday!!

Much love to all! :) xx

strawberrypie · 29/08/2011 14:18

Congratulations WYL!- great news, hope everything is going well for you and the LO.

It is quiet in here bebe, good luck with the MIL!

Great news about the scan SPR, hope you are feeling better and the tiredness/sickness is starting to pass.

Not long now 100! Hope you are feeling more like yourself today and the freezer has been sorted, it's annoying that the time in your life when you have most to do in preparation for the big arrival is also the time when you need the most rest!

Ps I love the new series of Dragon's den if anyone is watching it- what does Hilary DeVere keep in those shoulder pads? Money?

minipie · 29/08/2011 17:28

Many, many congratulations WYorks on baby William - how fab!

Also got the ILs staying so can't hang around unfortunately!

bebejones · 29/08/2011 17:46

MIL brought Tiramisu so not all bad! Wink (Well, bad for my diet, but tasted SO good!!)

100years · 29/08/2011 19:14

I know bebe, gone from being a very active thread to being quite quiet. :(

No freezer yet Strawberry, hopefully it will arrive tomorrow, if not it should be Wednesday!

Had a load of BH last night, but they stopped when I got up this morning - boo, was hoping it was all starting! Waiting for the same thing to happen tonight and then more 'disappointment' tomorrow! LOL

Had a few down days with being tired and not sleeping and a few other things, but more cheery today :)

OP posts:
bebejones · 29/08/2011 19:40

100 - I was alot more down towards 'the end', everything just seemed worse than it was somehow! Hmm
Really hope you get the freezer thing sorted out soon. What a nightmare, I'd be lost without my freezer! When we moved in to our house we didn't have a fridge or freezer for 2 months & it was hell! I had to go to Tesco everyday for food & we could only keep milk for a couple of days sat in a cold bowl of water! How did we ever manage without firdges?!?!? Wink

Strawberry - How far along are you now? I just can't keep up!! Blush

Quodlibet · 30/08/2011 09:06

Hello all, yes it has gone very quiet hasn't it?

My friend's baby arrived safe and sound yesterday, hurrah. And another friend who we saw on Sunday for a 'probably final pre baby lunch' seems to be at the same stage as you 100, lots of BH and feeling like stuff is imminent. It's a bit weird though, talking to my pg friends, because even though I've never been pg I've picked up so much info hanging around with you guys so I know far more than I should I think!

How were the IL weekends? I ended up working much of yesterday as I'm still so behind (after a bit of athletics). DP and I also caught up on the killing - anyone else seen it/watching? It's brilliant!

MrsSatsuma · 30/08/2011 18:57

Bebe tiramisu is good!!

Quod - I know what you mean - it's nice to know what my pg friends are talking about rather than just nodding and smiling like I used to!

Feeling quite down Sad Actually glad it's school next week as think I've got cabin fever. Bit worried that I'm quite happy when out with others but DH driving me crazy. Think I've got 'overload' of him which has never happened before. Finding I want to avoid him almost. Feeling very strange and hoping I will feel better when we're back at work and in routine again because I currently feel quite guilty Sad

Sorry for telegraph-speak sentences - am on phone!

Quodlibet · 31/08/2011 09:41

Oh MrsS, sorry you're feeling like that, I don't think you should feel guilty. Do you think it's all connected with your wanting to do things for you revelation? Because that's not a bad thing in itself...maybe this is just a period of adjustment? I tell myself we have to expect relationships to go through phases, it's unrealistic to think that we'd both want to spend equal amounts of time with each other all the time for years and years despite the ebb and flow of our individual lives.

100years · 31/08/2011 11:32

bebe, people had cool shelves in larders before fridges so it wasn't such a problem I think. WE have a loan fridge as the real one still hasn't been delivered to the shop and so they have at least provided us with a fridge to tide us over.

Quod, congrats to your friend :) Hope she enjoys her time with the LO.

Sorry you are :( MrsS, maybe the school starting again will be good for you.

Nada happening here, other than lots of BH and more frequent than normal bowel movements. MW this afternoon, and hoping to have a sweep then, will see if anything is favourable in that area if she does it. Will then hopefully have a bit more of an idea if I am going to be waiting ages or less than ages. Due date tomorrow!!!

OP posts:
Quodlibet · 31/08/2011 11:33

Blimey, due date TOMORROW? Oooh I'm all excited now!

100years · 31/08/2011 11:35

Yeah tomorrow :) Whoop. And they do induction at Term +12 which is 2 weeks yesterday, so I've got less than 2 weeks!!!! (that's if the induction works swiftly)

OP posts:
bebejones · 31/08/2011 12:06

MrsS - sorry you are feeling low. Maybe going back to school will help, you can have too much time with people! My DH drives me insane if we are together too long, love him dearly but I do need my own space. Plus if he is home he never wants to go and do anything! So it's really boring at the moment spending any time with him!! Hmm Have an un-MNy !!

100 - How exciting!!! Eeeek!! Here they do induction at term +10, isn't it funny how different it can be accross the country. If I was in Bristol I seem to recall it is at term +14!! Which I always found weird coz technically I could choose to go to the hospital in Bristol.....except that you would have to be mad to choose it over Gloucester!! :o Really hope your new fridge turns up soon, although good that they gave you a temp one! :)

Feeling mega broody again. But I think my reasoning/logic is definitely a bit bizarre! Confused My poor cat is really lonely after we had the other cat put to sleep, and I know DH is on the brink of suggesting getting another cat. If we can't afford a baby Hmm we definitely can't afford another kitten! So that is my twisted logic on why we should have a baby instead! Although that wouldn't solve the problem of the cat being lonely!! Hmm Told you it made no sense!! :o Friend has just found out that her baby (#2) is another girl. Had had a weird idea that she would. We have 4 friends that are PG at the moment. 2 due Jan, 1 due March & 1 due April. I reckon both the Jan ones will be girls & the other 2 will be boys...so we shall see if I'm right! Thinking about buying them all baby name books with all the names I like crossed out!! :o

Quodlibet · 31/08/2011 12:41

Bebe that logic makes perfect sense to me! Grin Do you think your DH's new cat plan is a covert broodiness-reduction manoevre? You should use the argument that new cat might not solve the problem of lonely old cat - old cat might not like a new friend. Whereas DD would definitely like a new sibling....

bebejones · 31/08/2011 14:09

Just realised DH & I had our first proper date 9 years ago today!! :o Maybe I should try & persaude him to 'celebrate'!! Wink

Quodlibet · 01/09/2011 10:26

Happy due-date 100! Are you excited?
