Me & my mum always say feak & weeble...thought it was just us!! :o

Quod - At least you know how you really feel about it all. That's always an important thing to learn!

100 - I can recommend those cooling sprays for hot hospitals & labouring! DD was born in a very hot August in 2008 & it was boiling in the delivery suite, even the MWs were complaing & were so sympathetic for me that they got their staff room fan for me as all the others were being used! When is your EDD again?

Been making some of the bits for DDs cake...all very exciting & probably going to push me to my cakey limit!!! :o

minipie · 02/08/2011 16:08

Oh me and my mum say feak and weeble too! I wonder if it comes from somewhere?

Just had a long weekend as took a day off yesterday. Sooo nice. Sooo not enjoying being back at work...

AmandaCooper · 02/08/2011 19:01

Quod those pesky cheapies are no damn good! Your chart is looking excellent... but then so did your previous chart, so possibly a red herring! My high progesterone levels last about a third of the time yours do.

Ladies I am about to release another hapless egg that will never grow into a little person. I am a bit sad.

100years rofl @ Labour OMFG!

bebejones · 02/08/2011 22:10

AC - Maybe we could have a little 'send off' for our hapless eggs every month? I propose Mojitos or extra large G&Ts?! :o

AmandaCooper · 03/08/2011 07:05

I really hate the way DH can just close his eyes to the pain this causes, he doesn't even acknowledge it. I just want to OV so I can put it behind me for another month, the fertile time is horrible. Still no temp rise or egg symbol on the Persona.

AmandaCooper · 03/08/2011 07:09

At least at the end of our lives we'll be able to look back and remember what clement weather we had in Yosemite National Park. That's the sort of thing that's really fucking important.

bebejones · 03/08/2011 08:14

Angry He is being a total twat!

Quodlibet · 03/08/2011 10:11

AC massive sympathies to you, you are right and your DH is being stupidly short sighted. Has he got any reasonable explanation for his chopping and changing? Does he at least admit that he's being unfair??! What is it with men? I spent last night commiserating with my BF who, after 11 years with her partner, has just ended things because, basically, he lives in the perpetual present and isn't stepping up to the future, which at 31 she needs him to do. It's such a crying shame because they're great together but she can't live with the constant compromises and is worried that time will run out. I'm so angry with him - he can't see what's under his nose.

Another high for me this morning on my chart which is nothing to do with wine. I can't help looking at the chart going up as raising hopes before a big let-down! Actually looking forward to AF at the end of the week so I can put my mind somewhere else instead of FF. I'm meant to be planning a 15000 word essay this week which is really hard when your mind is elsewhere.

We should indeed invent a ceremony to see off all the lost eggs.

minipie · 03/08/2011 10:32

Jeez AC I am still just so Sad for you and your eggs. Has DH actually agreed (or even shown any signs of agreeing) to TTC after the Oh So Important Big Trip* is done?

Quod sorry for your friend. Bloody men and their bloody Peter Pan complexes.

bebe your wedding cake looks awesome! The WoW figures are great.

Hope you're feeling better 100.

*for all my sarcasm the Big Trip does actually sound pretty cool Smile

100years · 03/08/2011 10:52

bebe, I looked at that magi cool stuff, but I'm not sure what they smell like, I'm quite sensitive to smells, so I've gone for a water bottle and a fan :) EDD Is 1st Sept. How is the cake going?

mini, I know that work feeling, it's not great. Thanks, just bit of headache, but know what that's from :)

AC :( Sorry you are feeling like that.

Quod, sorry for your friend.

Scan this afternoon :) Woohoo

We've just ordered our cot :) Yay, last night went to order it and it was on 4-8 weeks delivery, then this morning I looked at it and it was on normal delivery, so it's now ordered :) Phew.

WYorksLass · 03/08/2011 11:58

Well, i am now officially ready. Car seat and buggy have just been delivered and the house is spotless (well, as clean as it ever will be)!
Bags are all packed and i don't think i have anythin left to do... Famous last words! I think i will just go with ice and a flannel (darn, haven't packed flannel) as i know the hospital has a supply of ice cubes.

Just have to wait for the little guy now. He will be 37 weeks tomorrow, so full term. At the midwife yesterday she said he was engaged, yay! Only just in there at 4/5 but am pleased with that.

100years · 03/08/2011 12:02

Yay WYorks :) Excellent re the engaged head and full term tomorrow :) My full term is a week tomorrow :) Love the famous last words, then the darn haven't packed flannel, that's much like me :) I will see this afternoon if there is any engagement, I doubt it, bump is still REALLY high. Has your bump dropped at all?

OP posts:
minipie · 03/08/2011 12:15

OMG how exciting! It's all happening here Grin

Quodlibet · 03/08/2011 12:19

EEEIIIIII! You must be so excited! So it's just sit tight and wait now is it?

Minipie any symtoms your end this month? Or are you attempting not to symptom spot?

bebejones · 03/08/2011 15:42

100 - The sprays don't smell at all. It's basically just compressed air & water! Boots do their own version which is cheaper! :o

WYorks - HOW exciting!!!! Bet you are willing him to make an appearance, you (and all our PG ladies) must be struggling with the heat & humidity?!

Quod - Oooh lines going up?! That's a good (PG) thing right?! Confused

Cake is going ok here....DD wants to help...she is not allowed! :o

Where is Nannyl? I have sent her a PM & asked her to come back on fb, but not heard a peep back! :( If you are out there Nannyl - please come back!!!

Quodlibet · 03/08/2011 15:54

What is the cake masterplan Bebe? Is it DD's birthday cake?
I miss Nannyl too! Nannyl, where are youuuuuuu?!

Yes lines going up is good and my temp is higher than it's ever previously been - could just be the heat though. Have had to take some paracetamol for my achy boobies today which is a new one on me. Confused

bebejones · 03/08/2011 16:55

Yes, DDs birthday cake, it's a Pirate treasure chest...or at least it will be, hopefully!

ooooh symptoms!!! Wink :o

100years · 03/08/2011 20:22

Bebe, feels a bit odd paying for air and water, I'll use the water sprayer and see how I get on! :)

Oooh quod, when are you testing next? Wink

Well scan was good. Weighing in at approx 6lbs 6oz with another 4 possible 6(max) weeks to go Shock she'll be massive! Got to see her sticking her tongue out today, was very cute. Not quite engaged, but almost, head too far into pelvis to be able to do the head measurement, and doc had a firtle and said about her being almost engaged! Docs were happy with everything else, but because I had a recent BP/protein/PE scare they would like me to see MW every week instead of waiting 2 weeks, just to keep a check on it. That's fine by me.

AmandaCooper · 04/08/2011 08:30

100years and Westyorks OMG how exciting you are both nearly there! I can hardly believe it. It must be lovely to see all the new baby stuff lined up ready and waiting. I wonder which of you will be first! I looked everywhere online for a possible birth symptoms tracker but couldn't find one.

Bebe I can't wait to see your latest creation. Does it seem like three years since you were waiting for things to start?

Quod it all looks good - particularly the super high temperature. What's it looking like this morning?

I have to somehow switch this off. DH was asking whether there was any medication to suppress the hormones, but I've looked into it before and there's only counselling and support groups. Which are really for people with fertility problems, not husbands who want to remain childfree. He wants me off mumsnet completely and to pack in all the charting and monitoring.

Minipie the BT does sound like fun. And I do need something else to focus on. We spoke to someone at Virgin holidays last night and she sent me some prices. For June and September next year. Even TTC aside I could do with something a bit sooner to look forward to.

AmandaCooper · 04/08/2011 08:39

Minipie do you think it's likely that a 34 year old woman in our profession, whose already under a lot of pressure to raise her game at work, could leave her husband and find another man in time to settle down and have a baby before she's 40?

Quodlibet · 04/08/2011 10:55

Pretty sure AF is on the way today so think this fun and games is probably over for me. Ah well.

AC that's a really sad thought, has it come to that? Would you 'switching it off' end your desire to have children?! Surely he must understand it's not just a hormonal thing? Have you talked to him about couples counselling to see if that would work to end this stalemate? Sorry but I don't think he's paying enough attention or care to what you want, think or feel, at all.

100 that's really exciting, can't believe you saw her sticking her tongue out, that's truly amazing.

AmandaCooper · 04/08/2011 12:41

I think the answer has to be this. Get some long term contraception such as an IUD. Put all the baby clothes and toys, the thermometers, Persona and OPKs, folic acid etc into storage. Shut down the FF account. Log off Munsnet. Book TBT. Get counselling if need be.

minipie · 04/08/2011 15:22

AC Sad at "medication to suppress the hormones". If there was something else you wanted and he didn't, would he suggest medication to suppress your feelings about that too?

In answer to your question I don't know if it's likely but I do know it's possible. I know someone who was a single divorced associate at 34, she is now 41, a partner, and has 2 DC with her new DP.

But obviously persuading your DH would be better . What are his reasons for not wanting DC again? And how do you think he would react if you gave him an ultimatum...? Since that's effectively what he's doing to you.

Sorry, being very nosy and personal here. Ignore the questions if you like.

Quod keep us posted re any symptoms/POAS activity...

Wow 100 6lb 6oz that is already a good size baby! And almost engaged... getting to the finishing stretch then!

bebe I have absolutely no symptoms Sad. Boobs normal, no sickness, not that tired. Gah. Can test at the weekend, not really looking forward to it.

100years · 04/08/2011 19:23

AC I would love an imminent birth tracker, I was only saying the other day about this jokingly! Just got to wait and see. Getting bit more uncomfortable and standing is a chore now, all heavy out front and feeling a slightly more odd feeling lower down, can only hope that's her moving downwards! I don't know what to say about you DH and his medication to suppress the hormones :( And in answer to your question to minipie - in April 2008 I split with my partner because of the children issue, I met my OH in August 2009 and look where I am now. I'm not saying do it, but I wanted something and now I have what I wanted and the most amazing man alive :) Like I said not saying to split, just what happened to me.

Quod :( for you if it is AF. Yeah It was lovely to see her doing 'normal things'

mini, I know, I mean they might be off with the measurements, but it also is quite possible for her to be that weight already. Fingers crossed for your POAS this weekend.

Off for a Thai now :) yum yum yum.
