Squirrel it won't be happening next month. DH is talking about doing the Big Trip in March next year. It's all off until then. Another eight months.

ShaggingProducesResults · 13/07/2011 22:47

WHAT????
No need for the Gruffalo ladies. I'm in a vile progesterone induced rage and can happily have a "little chat" with Mr AC. Let me at him!!!

AmandaCooper · 14/07/2011 09:40

Oh I know. But I'm fed up of it it's obviously not happening, what's the point?

Had a bit of spotting this morning so I'm putting the kettle on.

Sorry you're feeling hormonal, SPR.

100years · 14/07/2011 09:47

LO stayed still enough for the measurements. The scan was really quick, so my Mum didn't actually see that much, so I felt a bit gutted for her that she hadn't seen a lot, different sonographer/midwife who was quick, but Mum saw heartbeat, and then later on after tea had a good 10 mins of being kicked, so she was happy about that. She took a pic of me at the hosp while we were waiting which I've uploaded!

I made a bit of a mistake in not wearing my support belt yesterday because I was feeling good and no real discomfort. Realised about halfway through the night last night what a mistake that was, and have bad pain in my back again!

Also been getting a few more BH things, if I was further along I would be getting more excited that things might be moving along, but at 33 weeks I'm pretty sure it's all just BH!

AND :) I have now only 6 shifts as I managed to get leave for 2 days next week :) WHOOP

Off to watch my eldest niece in her school assembly this afternoon :)

Strawberry, we didn't do anything re getting baby things until about 2 weeks ago, now we have practically everything we need, so don't worry, bags of time yet. I've not done anything re packing hospital bag though!

WYorks, I keep psyching myself up, only x shifts, only x hours and it kind of gets me through the day at work, but it's bl00dy hard at times. I'm so looking forward to having that time off. On day 2 of 5 off now, and have the same again next week before my final 4 shifts, so I think it's not too bad.

AC. W T F???? Oh man. I'll join SPR, as I'm in the third tri hormonal area, I'm pretty sure a newly pregnant and a nearly birthing pregnant woman can beat anything the gruffalo can do!!!

OP posts:
AmandaCooper · 14/07/2011 14:02

Ha ha not exactly sure that this is a recipe to persuade a man that pregnancy is a good thing!

come on then AF! Show your ugly face! I'll 'ave yer!

ShaggingProducesResults · 14/07/2011 20:06

Thank God it's Friday tomorrow!!!

Pretty excited about telling my parents that we're diffed. My mum is going to be so excited!!

Was terminally bored at work today so did a little travelsystem / buggy research. God it's confusing isn't it?!?!

AC. I am amazed at how well you're taking this....... I'd have hit the fucking roof by now and made all manner of demands and possibly even issued an ultimatum....

squirrel007 · 14/07/2011 22:15

Thanks quod! Good that you've come to some sort of agreement with your DP :)

Amanda sounds like a great holiday, but what is your DH thinking?? I'm with spr, wouldn't have stayed calm this long.

100years not long to go now!! Hope the scan measurements were all ok.

spr enjoy telling your parents the good news!

strawberry you are very busy with pregnancy and wedding and decorating! What are your nursery plans?

wyorkslass sounds like me on maternity leave, I slept so much!

Things are going well here, had some visitors today, and hope to start getting out and about now that I'm feeling recovered.

AmandaCooper · 15/07/2011 00:23

SPR and Squirrel I think it's easier to be calm when you're laying in the sun next to the pool with a view of the ocean! I might not be so calm next week! In a way it makes sense to get some travelling in. I just wish we'd done it some time in the last two years instead of just planning it now.

Squirrel glad you're feeling recovered to some extent. It must be lovely showing your LO off!

SPR enjoy telling your mum!

AmandaCooper · 15/07/2011 07:13

Quite a temp drop this morning, considering I had a vodka and coke and a strawberry daiquiri before bed and had to get up to get my thermometer from the drawer. Sad

AmandaCooper · 15/07/2011 08:46

First ever 14DPO though. The witch is really quite tardy this month.

ShaggingProducesResults · 15/07/2011 10:12

Hmmmmmmm the signs are pretty confusing this month aren't then AC? Hope that you get an answer soon!! Keep on enjoying the sunshine though :)

In a workshop this morning takin minutes zzzzzzzzz! Feeling incredibly sick anyway (I gagged when I brushed my teeth this morning!!!) but the guy sitting next to me has really bad breath (it actually smells as though his teeth are rotting!!) and I keep having to pop out to get away from it!!

Fingers crossed we keep to schedule and I can get away at 14:00!!

AmandaCooper · 15/07/2011 11:56

Gross! Hope you get out of there!

100years · 15/07/2011 15:20

Maybe a few babies are needed then AC as opposed to pregnant women!

Enjoy telling your parents SPR :) And yuk for the stinky breath man.

Yeah squirrel, all measurements are good, seems to be following the same line as before on the chart :)

OP posts:
AmandaCooper · 15/07/2011 15:43

Back home in a few hours. Should I test tomorrow if there's still no sign of the witch? I know it's stupid to get my hopes up all things considered but I can't help it.

100years · 15/07/2011 15:51

How would you feel if you did test and it was neg, or pos, weigh up those and then decide. I know that's not really much help to you now, but if you feel OK with either scenarios then test, if you want to leave it a day or two then maybe that's best. Hope you have a good flight.

OP posts:
AmandaCooper · 15/07/2011 17:36

Hmm maybe I'll hang on and pick up some cheapies rather than waste a FR. That way if it's negative it's just another damn useless cheapie!

Quodlibet · 16/07/2011 11:09

Hello all

AC, how's things your end today? Are you going to test if AF hasn't arrived? You must feel really up in the air I'd imagine.

100 that new photo of your bump is great! 4 shifts to go until you can put your feet up, you must really be looking forward to it. I imagine for you pg ladies this slightly rubbish weather we're having must actually be a godsend, I can't imagine being heavily pregnant in a heatwave, it must be horrid.

Bebe are you OK? Haven't seen you here for a couple of days. And Nannyl?

JBells wow it sounds like you are doing a great juggling act.

Squirrel is Charlotte sleeping any better yet? Are you getting used to having a little person around?

SPR you seem on really good form despite the sickness/tiredness. I'm still really excited for you every time you post anything!

What's everyone got planned for the weekend? I've got a fairly lazy day today but the first outing of a new show tomorrow - going to have to take a day off on Monday instead!

bebejones · 16/07/2011 11:46

I am reading but just not had a chance to do a proper catch up. Will be back later :)

AmandaCooper · 16/07/2011 11:54

Morning all! CD15 and a bfn on a Tesco test 100years very kindly sent me (and you lot think I'm bad for pressuring ha ha!) I feel a mixture of relief and disappointment!

AF is now more than three full days late. Mother Nature is such a tease.

minipie · 16/07/2011 12:08

hi all

on hols so shouldn't be internetting - but the weather's horrid so thought I'd catch up.

quod new show sounds exciting! not much of a break since your last one though!

100 glad the scan all fine, shame it didn't last longer for your mum but then in not too long she'll have an actual baby to look at.

SPR ugh about the breath - guess that enhanced sense of smell can be a real bugger.

AC words fail me Sad. I thought he was back on board for next (this) month? what's caused this mind change?

I know this is controversial, but have you considered lying and telling your DH you did get pg last month... ? Just to see his reaction? Maybe he'd find that once it was real he would find it less terrifying ... Obviously you'd have to tell him the truth pretty quickly but would be one way to "test" how he really feels. Probably not a good idea I'm sure for all sorts of reasons... But if I were you I'd be tempted to try just about anything...

Good luck to those of you planning your nurseries and baby equipment! We have a room which is known as "the room next to ours" or "future baby room" depending on how optimistic I'm feeling about the TTC.

AmandaCooper · 16/07/2011 12:20

Minipie don't tempt me! The test I used this morning was showing a second line a few hours later and I couldn't help but think "what if I just leave it lying around and say nothing and see how he reacts" - cause he won't know about evaporation lines.

AmandaCooper · 16/07/2011 17:08

Guys AF has arrived. She took a wrong turn, got stuck in traffic, you know how it is. DH will be delighted. I might wrap the negative test up together with a travel brochure as a nice surprise.

Minipie if you pm your address I will forward on the OPKs that 100years sent me. There's no use them going to waste. 100years much appreciated thank you.

bebejones · 16/07/2011 19:28

AC - big hugs! :( You poor thing. Someone seriously needs to knock both our DHs heads together!! Really hope he will get his act together soon & that the 'trip of a lifetime' is utterly fabulous if that's what you decide to do x

SPR - Did I miss what your sister said when you told her? Have you spoken to you parents yet? It's all so exciting! Poor you with stinky breath man...gross even for a non PG nose!!

100 - Glad scan went well. Not long to go now!

WYorks - you are so virtuous...30 lengths!!! Shock I don't think I could manage that not PG!! Well done you! :)

Quod - has there been a big decision...I can't remember? Blush Hpe you are ok?

There is no news at all here. DH is having a mega work crisis so I can't bring TTC up at all. Was really hoping that I might be able to suggest TTC after DD turns 3 next month. Before she was born that was our original plan! Plus a May baby would be so lovely! Not gonna happen though :(

AmandaCooper · 16/07/2011 21:03

Bebe yes our DHs are indeed the most maddening. I have decided to go ahead and book the Big Trip at the end of December, not March, as yet another a compromise. I can't bear to put off TTC until next April, I know it's likely I'll still be waiting then but I don't want to actually plan it that way.

We should run a book on which of the two of us will get pg first, if in fact either of us ever do get pg. What odds should we give ourselves do you think?

AmandaCooper · 16/07/2011 21:05

p.s. Oh sigh another birthday for your DD it doesn't seem long since last birthday. Who'd have thought we'd be still waiting, eh?
