Is it short for MAXimillion or is it just MAX?

How many are there on MN? My cousin called her DS MAX but his real name is MAXimillion {sorry about spelling if that is not correct haven't seen it written down yet}

my boy is Max. it's just Max, not Maximillion or Maxwell but for some reason we wish we had called him Maxwell.

a whopping 5. It does seem to be the name of choice around my way. My uncle also has called every dog he's ever had Max so if I added them in I would know 9!

I have two friends with little boys called Max (one 6 yo and one 4 yo) both just Max not short for anything.
