How many boys do you know with the name MAX?

Is it short for MAXimillion or is it just MAX?

How many are there on MN? My cousin called her DS MAX but his real name is MAXimillion {sorry about spelling if that is not correct haven't seen it written down yet}

I have known 2 dogs and 7 boys called Max. There were 4 boys with this name in a class I taught!

I know 4 ! 1 is maximillian, the others are maxwell.

None at all.

My nephew is Max - just plain max.

My great-nephew is Max, plain and simple.

DS knows 2 Maxes. They are just Max, as far as I know.

My dog's name is max - short for maxwell. He is a boy

I've just read the name MAX so many times now it doesn't look at all right when reading it and sounds very odd saying it!

Saying that, the only Max i know of is a MN'er son but she's not around very much anymore.

I was in school with a Max and my friend's nephew is called Max - think they're just Max (not Maximilian or Maxwell)

i think maximilian must be a german name as i just googled his name with thhier surname and both are german (never knew that)

I know about three of them - they are all just Max, plain and simple.

I have a Max.... a gorgeous lovely Max who is just Max... nothing else! Lovely strong name.

I have wanted to name a son Max since DS1. Finally I was able to. A few people told me it was a common name.... so what! I love it. I love the way it sounds. I love the strength of it. I love the fact that it is such a boy's name and such a good man's name.

I rang my sister and she said it is spelt MAXIMILIAN but will be called MAX in day to day etc.

My ds is a Max and I adore it too! He is named after Max in Where The Wild Things Are .
I think it is a fantastic name and my dh loves it because you can't shorten it (he is just Max).
Ds likes being called Maxi but he does get the Maximus Decimus thing too.
There is another Max in his year and I know of one baby.

One of the MWs at the hospital thought his real name was Maximus Aurelius because that was what I kept calling him lol
