Oooh, fingers crossed for you MrsS.

Good news here, my last working day has been confirmed as 27th May, woohoo!!! I can't wait Grin

MrsSatsuma · 19/04/2011 20:10

I think it's flu. Bleeuuaargh. I want to stop aching! and I want to be pg!!

ShaggingWithIntent · 20/04/2011 09:26

27th May - you lucky thing!!! After the day I had in the office yesterday I was about ready to hand in my notice!! Am astounded by how petty, childish and bitchy some people can be!! Oh well - only another 2 days to get through and then I can forget about them for 2.5 weeks!!

MrsS - FX that is't early PG signs and not flu. I guess I'm going to miss your testing as I'll be away but will be keeping everything crossed for you.

100years · 20/04/2011 10:14

Hi folks.

Thanks bebe, I think he is feeling a bit better about it, but still thinks he should have done quicker! And it was lovely to know that he felt LO too. Hope HV call went OK.

AC I don't think he is thrilled with it sadly, he really should be, but he is planning the next one - 5 weeks after I'm due, I'm not sure that is the best idea!

Thanks WYorks, we will be getting a running buggy, only because I plan to get back to it again once LO is born and he will also take LO out. Glad you are having some nice strong movements, but sorry to hear about your scare. I'm very jealous about your finish date!

SWI, I'm planning on doing it when I can, won't be next year though. And he def wants to do it again. Hope you have a fab holiday.

Thanks Quod. Re niece, I'm updating a bit further down in my post. Hugs for you.

nanny, I think he will be entering the ballot for next year, so if he got in that means he would be doing it when we have a LO! Glad your sickness is decreasing, that's really good. Yes everything takes it out of me too!

MrsS Sorry to hear you are not feeling well.

Right then. Had a great time in London, although it was extremely tiring, had an episode where I nearly passed out, but I was with a load of friends, so I wasn't worried about what would happen, I had however left my maternity notes at the hotel - oops - and so I wrote on my hand that I was pregnant as I was expecting to be alone for a short while getting from where I was to the finish area and wanted people to be aware if I collapsed or something. Was hard seeing OH so disappointed and sad about how he had done, he is starting to feel better about things, and like I have said, planning his next one, but I didn't know what to say/do to help him, I just did what I could.

My niece was discharged sunday afternoon, and re-admitted yesterday :( Poop, my poor sister and everyone there. I'm hoping that 'being admitted for obs' is just that and nothing more. Will find out something in a bit.

Got my scan this afternoon, so hopefully will find out if it's a pink or blue one, OH said if he was a betting man he would say it's pink.

bebejones · 20/04/2011 14:01

Good Luck 100!

SWI - Sorry work is so crappy :(

I just had a real awful moment this morning when we discovered DD had lost her favourite cuddly toy 'Jack-jack'! Cue me racing round all the shops we had been to at Cribbs Causeway...nightmare! Found him though, massive relief all round! Lovely shop assistant in Clarks had kept hold of him & looked after him. :) Felt really distraught though, poor DD was wailing 'I love Jack-jack so much mummy, where is he?!' :( Spent a fortune on DD, 2 pairs of shoes, 2 pairs of trousers, 2 t-shirts, and a jacket. She is very spoilt! :o I musn't grumble, she has only gone up 1/2 a shoe size in the last 8.5 months and still fits in some of her clothes from last summer!

Anyways, nothing exciting to report here! Going to decorate my Simnel cake now...thrilling stuff! Hmm

Quodlibet · 20/04/2011 16:16

So DP's meeting didn't go well as far as he's concerned, they want to put off the launch indefinitely, and he is alternating between terrible gloom and barely contained simmering rage. I have had to station myself at opposite end of the house to avoid getting caught up in it all. TTC plan: back to the drawing board. Fuckery.

bebejones · 20/04/2011 18:02

:(

ShaggingWithIntent · 20/04/2011 18:23

Oh cock! That really sucks

MrsSatsuma · 20/04/2011 21:20

sorry Quod :( that's rubbish. When simmering rage has cooled down, perhaps you could take the 'what happens, happens' approach? I have come to realise that planning TTC is fairly pointless anyway!!

bebe - glad the toy was found! I remember doing exactly the same thing when I was about 5. Found him under a table in a cafe... naughty bear...

100 I'm sure you helped your DH. Even finishing the marathon is extremely impressive, let alone doing it in the time he did!

SWI sorry your day at work was so bad. I know what it's like dealing with a lot of petty bitchiness (and not just from the kids!). Just wish some people could grow up and chill out a bit!

Feeling much better today - must have been weird, 24hr thing. Haven't felt that bad for a long time! Managed to do much more in the garden today - still a mess, but at least it has half a wheelie bin of weeds less now...

100years · 21/04/2011 08:44

Scan went well. LO was too wriggly to find out what colour, so we're sticking with saying he/him for now. Everything appeared to be as it should, felt a kick whilst having the scan. Weight is still lower than booking scan appointment, and they were fine no mention of it. Think I may be starting to gain a little now. It's all good. :)

ShaggingWithIntent · 21/04/2011 09:02

100 that's great news that all was well at your scan!!

It's my last day in the office today and my friend has been sent to take minutes for a meeting 2 hours away so I'm by myself. The good news is that I only have to survive until 4:30 and then I don't have to come back here for 19 whole days Grin

bebe phew to you finding jack-jack! I lost "pink pig" when I was little and my mum couldn't find him anywhere. In the end she went out and bought a load of stuff and made a new one for me. I don't remember being able to tell the differrence!

MrsS so pleased that you are feeling better today

Quodlibet · 21/04/2011 09:36

100 great news, pleased everything is going so well and you seem so relaxed.

MrsS Glad you're feeling better. Yes I'm hoping that when all the dust settles, he'll reevaluate things and agree that keeping TTC tied to this particular career milestone is just adding more pressure and we should uncouple the two and think about them separately.

Managed to cheer him up considerably last night with a very nice meal and some wine, must have been an aphrodisiac meal as Blush we NPPed (CD24, ff said I was 5 days post-ov) and TODAY I discover ff has done what it did to AC and moved my crosshairs so I am now apparently only 3 days post, or less that 48 hrs last night. Oops.

100years · 21/04/2011 10:44

Thanks.

Quod, I actually am really relaxed about the whole thing now. Once I got over the 12 week and saw the scan it was like a whole amazing thing then, knowing it was alive in there. I have a person growing in me and it's wonderful. :) Feeling the movements as well really helps to know that LO is there. I think it's kind of what I wanted for so long and I know it will be the best thing, so I'm enjoying it :)

SWI enjoy your last day before holibobs :)

I'm thinking of buying a t-shirt with 'I love my bump' or something like that on it, just because I can!!!!

bebejones · 21/04/2011 11:07

100 - fab that everything was ok! You are a stronger woman than me, I would have caved and paid for an extra private scan to find out the flavour if I'd wanted to know & didn't find out!! Blush I am very impatient!

SWI - Enjoy your last day! When do you jet off to India? You never know by the time you get back I might be TTC....doubt it, but you never know! Hmm :o

Quod - Glad you cheered MrQ up! Wink

I've just done a semi big shop for the next few days & my fridge is bursting at the seams...I love that! :o FX for a sunny bank holiday & BBQs! This will probably be the only summer we get after all! :o DD is all the sunshine I need, she has had me in tears laughing this morning! :)

100years · 21/04/2011 11:15

bebe, I think it's fine waiting, I had originally thought I wouldn't want to find out and changed my mind because OH had said he would 'quite like' to know, after I changed my ming he kept saying he didn't mind if we did or we didn't! Anyway we are both happy with not knowing. Would have got mostly neutral things anyway.

Oh yeah, hope you get a nice weekend for a BBQ. I kind of would like to get a mini disposable one and do a little BBQ, but we only have communal gardens and I don't think I would like to be outside in the communal garden eating, different if it's your own!

bebejones · 21/04/2011 12:02

I think if you don't mind not knowing then the need to know isn't as strong! Your LO decided for you! Wink

I did buy disposable BBQs as our BBQ has seen better days...although if I gave it a bit of a scrub it's probably be ok! Just need DH to mow the bloody lawns!!! Angry Have been asking him to do it since the beginning of March!!!!! Hmm

ShaggingWithIntent · 21/04/2011 12:14

quod maybe the FF thing was fate intervening and attempting to get you updiffed?!? You never know! Grin

bebe we fly out tomorrow afternoon and I'm oving on Sunday/Monday so counting on a lot of SWI at the start of our hols to kick off the TTC program!! Sadly, if it's a no this month then next month I am going to OV mid week and so may have to pay a trip to London to jump DH!! Everybody keep your FX for me next week.

AF is due 2 days after we get home so I'll probably end up testing the day before as DH will be working form home that day........ Obvs I'll be posting on here as soon as I get home :)

Will miss hearing everybody's news for the next few weeks. Bebe I really hope that you are TTC when i get back - will be thinking lots of positive thoughts for you :) If I find a statue of a fertility god/goddess I'll ask it for help for all the TTCers and waiters!! Wink

bebejones · 21/04/2011 16:28

SWI we shall miss you and await your return & 'news' with bated breath! :o

Hope you have a lovely time!

The sun is hiding here this afternoon really hoping we don't get any of the thundery showers that they are predicting! I really want to finish painting the garden wall this weekend!

AmandaCooper · 21/04/2011 21:54

Wow SWI I can't wait for you to get back from the trip! Can't believe you're actually going to ttc feels like the end of an era lol.

Quod I think my adventure in conception land is over, no AF as yet, which suggests that our NPP was badly timed but I think we dodged a bullet cause everything seems normal. When will you know one way or another?

AmandaCooper · 22/04/2011 06:29

100years it is so nice to hear that you are feeling so positive and relaxed about the whole thing. I am still very apprehensive to be contemplating something so massive. I think it's nice not to know what colour until the birth - but I don't know if I could be so restrained!

Bebe has there been any progress with the Convince Mr Bebe Campaign? Do you think that if he did change his mind he'd change it quickly so you could just start?

Quod thats bad news about your DP's project, it doesn't seem like there's ever going to be a good time workwise from his point of view. Is it the time commitment that is worrying him? If it makes you feel any better, DH has stopped taking the zinc tablets. So we are no longer on course for July it seems.

SWI have a lovely time. I am so jealous! We would have been jetting off on our America trip this morning if work hadn't cancelled it so you need to have enough fun for all of us. If you're OV on Sunday you better get cracking!

ShaggingWithIntent · 22/04/2011 14:00

Oh dear. Just found a new packet of Durex in DH's case..... :( that'll be a fun conversation for the flight! Looks like he might be putting the brakes on TTC (yet again)

bebejones · 22/04/2011 14:27

Take them out!!!!! Wink
