What's the next "make MN unwelcoming" game going to be?

We've had "out the troll" when a newbie posts.

We've had "PARP at the thread" when an oft-posted topic is posted again.

Anyone got any others?

QoQ, you can't post that.

so it happened on one thread.......and 5 minutes later Cod apologised.......or does the word "sorry" not work on here???

QOQ - what can't I put??

hunkermunker · 24/09/2005 15:34

To be fair, Cod was very apologetic and the new poster posted at a time when people were starting new "parp-related" threads.

You just said you'd not seen anyone saying you can't post that. So I thought I'd put paid to it

Caligula · 24/09/2005 15:36

well I guess that depends on whether (at the bus stop) you've asked for an opinon on your coat...

QueenOfQuotes · 24/09/2005 15:41

AND as already been said Coddy said sorry..

WigWamBam · 24/09/2005 15:41

Or you walk into a new P&T group, walk up to a group of women chatting and introduce yourself, one says "Parp" and all the others fall about pissing themselves ...

The apology might follow, it might not - but why say it in the first place? Apology or not, it's not likely to make the new person feel particularly at home.

I don't think that the fact someone suspected a new poster of being a troll is much of an excuse, either. Shoot first, ask questions later?

QueenOfQuotes · 24/09/2005 15:44

ok hands up - who can hand on heart say they've NEVER discussed someone else's clothes with a friend - within potential earshot??

And no you woulnd't say 'parp' in a different group - just like you wouldn't say "4" or "boden"....

Some people seem to have got very sensitive over the last week or so

Blossomhill · 24/09/2005 15:44

Wig Wam Bam - very well said

I can't say as I have or would discuss someone's clothes within their earshot, no.

Blossomhill · 24/09/2005 15:46

Not all of us are that bitchy

QueenOfQuotes · 24/09/2005 15:47

and erm - how many people 'fell about luaghing' when it was said??

ONE! Then it stopped, coddy apologised, and misdee and the OP continued on the thread (after OP noted that coddy is strange ).
