Welcome to the Tea rooms newest incarnation. A cozy log cabin with a roaring log fire, comfy chintz sofas and a dedicated man about the house, our Butler, Mellors. Out of the windows you can see sparkling white snow gently drifted up under the green Christmas trees and bright blue skies. Children can all be packed off to play healthy outdoor stuff while we stay snug n warm in here with our mulled wine, tea, artisan hot chocolate and other beverages served in mugs, glasses or buckets.

The usual rules apply - no fisticuffs. And no messing with the aspidistra.

Slept for a bit in the end... but awake again now. Have been for a while.

Donki · 04/04/2014 06:19

Look a bit vampire or zombie like - it's the red eyes...

Donki · 04/04/2014 07:07

I just want to wake up and find out it was only a nightmare...

Scout19075 · 04/04/2014 07:10

Oh Donki.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 04/04/2014 07:51

Oh Donki.

::rubs your ears::

I am so sorry it has come to this.

Have you been to see a solicitor? I know this isn't what you want, but you need to protect your and the YD's legal and financial position. And then you can cut the crotch out of all MrDonki's trousers and put his possessions in bin bags.

mistlethrush · 04/04/2014 07:58

I don't know how people can do things like that to other people.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 04/04/2014 08:18

Sometimes people are inexplicable, sadly.

UniS · 04/04/2014 08:21

not fair.

sending you ear rubs and candid carrots.

I need to find a solicitor asap.
I know that we can stay in the house until P is 18 - I hope until he leaves school.
Mortgage will be paid off in 3 years.
He is expecting to stay here until he finds somewhere to rent. And to spend time here with YD.

I have no wise words, Donki, just a shoulder and some Brew and maybe some carrot Cake when you're up for it.

To paraphrase my best friend: Sometimes people just suck.

mistlethrush · 04/04/2014 09:08

Tell him to shove off. He's got somewhere else to stay. He's made his bed and its time for him to realise that that means he's got to lie in it, not have a second one where he can play happy families.

Donki · 04/04/2014 09:11

I do think I need to point out that moving out means just that!

mistlethrush · 04/04/2014 09:14

BTW - child that is coming for a sleepover tonight - his parents run a management business - I think mostly renting to students - anyway - lots of rental properties available...

I will ask around to see if anyone knows any solicitors that are recommended.

mistlethrush · 04/04/2014 09:14

Donki, I am very happy to come and suggest he goes if it would be helpful.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 04/04/2014 09:16

I tend to agree with Mistle. Living in the family home and toddling off to spend evenings and weekends with OW is cruel and unfair on you and the YD (who you named in a post just above, btw).

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 04/04/2014 09:19

I think you can find a local family lawyer via the Resolution ( used to be Solicitors' Family Law Association) website.

Donki · 04/04/2014 09:23

Details of rental properties would be good - preferably not in North Leeds Angry

There is a chain of solicitors locally (Emsley's)
who are members of Resolution.
I don't know anything about them 'though.

Donki · 04/04/2014 09:27

Thank you Mellors - I'd be very grateful if you could come and stand guard!

(Although in combats and with a sniper rifle he looks more as though he is going to set an ambush)

UniS · 04/04/2014 09:52

Bet mellors looks good in combats, is he wearing a tight vest as well?

OP posts:
mistlethrush · 04/04/2014 09:59

Unis - no vest, just a strip of spare machine gun bullets.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 04/04/2014 10:18

Yup, his look today is Action Man meets Steve Backshall.

UniS · 04/04/2014 10:23

ohhhh nice. I have Steve Backshall's auto biography waiting to be read.

I know you have a (shall we say) fondness for Mr B, UniS. Which having watched Mr B cavorting in his swim shorts earlier this week, I can now understand.

mistlethrush · 04/04/2014 10:26

DS wants to be SB. At times. Not when there are poisonous centipedes around though.

Donki · 04/04/2014 10:28

?Admires the new decorative highly functional feature in the garden?
