Welcome to the Tea rooms newest incarnation. A cozy log cabin with a roaring log fire, comfy chintz sofas and a dedicated man about the house, our Butler, Mellors. Out of the windows you can see sparkling white snow gently drifted up under the green Christmas trees and bright blue skies. Children can all be packed off to play healthy outdoor stuff while we stay snug n warm in here with our mulled wine, tea, artisan hot chocolate and other beverages served in mugs, glasses or buckets.

The usual rules apply - no fisticuffs. And no messing with the aspidistra.

I am annoyed. Our heating isn't working. And of course the part that's needed to fix it isn't just a cheap little fuse. Oh no. It's the motherboard for the furnace circuits.
Faque.

(Which is my new word when I want to write the other f-word but don't want to be rude.)

Donki · 03/04/2014 19:15

Having agreed that he would give us advance notice of when he would be out so that YD could be forwarned of changes to routine, the fucking, selfish, thoughtless arsehole has not come home because he decided to go running with OW. What the fuck? He NEVER does exercise other than walking to and from the bus stop. I can't even get him to come swimming with the YD most of the time.

He was out Tuesday and Thursday nights last week, Saturday night and all of Sunday. Monday evening (to another friend - a regular visit), Tuesday night (OW). In last night (but the YD has scouts so barely saw him).
He has said he will be out Friday night and all of Saturday.

WHEN IS HE GOING TO FUCKING BE AT HOME AND SEE YD?

I could kill him and the fucking selfish predatory vulture that is the OW.

He didn't even have the courtesy to text or call to let me know, so I had cooked him tea. And the YD was waiting for him.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Donki · 03/04/2014 19:16

I have reported the post for the YDs name...

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/04/2014 19:21

Oh no, Donki. That really is beyond the pale.

::Picks up the le Creuset and does some limbering-up exercises::

Commiserations re the furnace, Jacksmania.

Donki · 03/04/2014 19:33

Well he has just come in and I have had a screaming fit. He is in no doubt how I feel.

Scout19075 · 03/04/2014 19:40

Donki, we can come up with the Le Creuset grill pan, just say the word.

Jacksmania · 03/04/2014 19:42

I've got my Kitchen Aid cast-iron pot ready to hurl long-distance at his head.

Really, that's just beyond anything. He is being a prize sh*t.

Donki · 03/04/2014 19:56

Apparently he didn't mean to be so late. He hadn't realised how long running round Roundhay Park would take.

  1. it is miles from his workplace - so they had to get there
  2. It is bloody HUGE - miles round

HE might not have realised he would be late, but OW must have known.

And he could have had the courtesy to call when he realised. But No.

Donki · 03/04/2014 19:58

As far as I'm concerned you are all welcome to batter him senseless.

I have never shouted at him before.

I think it must have been rather a shock. Especially as I don't usually swear at all apart from the odd "shit"

The NMBs can have at him too...

Scout19075 · 03/04/2014 20:05

I think you have been restrained until now, Donki, but now it's time to unleash your fury on him. He needs to stop being an ass and make a decision so you can move on and live life.

Donki · 03/04/2014 20:17

I think that I unleashed my fury - I'm surprised none of you heard me! I must have been audible to most of Leeds...

Donki · 03/04/2014 20:19

But then I don't think that I have ever been so angry...

Scout19075 · 03/04/2014 20:38

Oh Donki, I wish I could do more than just wield a Le Crueset pan....

Donki · 03/04/2014 20:43

And I am so glad that this is mostly a peer moderated site that allows swearing. Very cathartic on this occasion. But not as cathartic as actually yelling was....

I have not eaten this evening. Really not hungry.

Neither has the YD Sad

He retreated to the bedroom as son as MrDonki came in and put a pillow over his ears. (I had warned him that Mummy was very angry and likely to shout)

Donki · 03/04/2014 20:44

(For those concerned, The YD was given food - food he liked, but the tensión (or the fear that MrDonki might not be coming back at all) had had the same effect on his appetite as it had on mine)

Scout19075 · 03/04/2014 21:03

Poor YoungDonk. Sad

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/04/2014 22:18

Poor YD. And poor Donki. How you have managed to tolerate this situation for so long, I really don't know. That MrDonki thinks it is acceptable, week after week, to live in the family home yet pop over at will to OW's is almost beyond belief. You are entitled to scream like a banshee.

Jacksmania · 03/04/2014 22:41

Ugh, I've started and deleted several posts because I just don't know what to say that could be useful or helpful Angry.

Best I can do is send (((((HUGS))))) and support and maple-syrup glazed carrots.

Jacksmania · 03/04/2014 22:43

I other news, which, however, pale in comparison, our furnace is still not fixed. Hopefully tomorrow. Thank goodness it's April, and not December. It is, however, a windy, uncomfortable, chilly, grey, rainy day. Not nearly as nice as yesterday when I was out planting a few things. And the gas fireplace is the living room is singularly inefficient. Meh.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/04/2014 22:43

I'm not sure that what I've said is useful or helpful, but it's offered sincerely. Blush

UniS · 03/04/2014 22:56

OK scout you can keep mellors a little longer but donki NEEDS the nmb formation frying pan team. off you go to Leeds lads.

Donki · 04/04/2014 00:36

MrDonki is leaving me and the YD...

Donki · 04/04/2014 00:36

I can't sleep..

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 04/04/2014 01:17

Oh crap, Donki.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 04/04/2014 01:45

I'm wide awake (isn't insomnia great) but hope you've managed to get to sleep now.

Sending best wishes from the Smoke.
