The moving castle tea room touches down for the 29th time

Welcome to the tea room. Open to those with one child and those with more and maybe some with none ( hi dave the trucker).

This time we are heading to the mists and mellow fruitfulness of Autumn in a moving castle with a mind of its own. The roaring fire is maintained by magic and Mellors the gardener handles wine and spirits along with massage duties.

The first rule of the tea room is this

Trying to finish report now - as soon as its done I'm going home. Having a quick time off, not that it seems to be helping clear my head much.

Scout - glad you found the shoe. I have one shoe of miniThumb's that lost its partner before we left the UK - but I lived in vain hope that it woudl turn up somewhere! It never has and I still have no clue at all what happened to it - it was a decent pair of leather sandals as well :(

On holidays now - it's school mid-semester break here so there has been a family convening at DH's cousin's home (her parents are down from up North and we are up from down South). DH's cousin has 3 DC, the youngest is only 4m older than miniThumb and they get on like a house on fire (nearly literally, worryingly! they are a force to be reckoned with, that's for sure!)
So DH and miniThumb are both sleeping peacefully while I use up the 4h internet that we paid for. :)

I got back from work at about 6.. which means that I did something like 32 or so hours work out of 36. DH was surprised I was still vertical.

Scout, Wriggle has, apart from school shoes, 3 pairs of wellies and 3 pairs of crocs, alll different colours. Has frequently gone out in one green and one pink croc, ditto wellies, if necessary.
Deer, I think it depends on which only child you have. Wriggle has once, to my certain knowledge, and once only, lain down quietly next to me on the bed during the day ... and that was when she turned out to be so ill that she was nearly admitted to hospital. The only time I get a break before 9pm at the earliest is when she has a friend round.

That is truly beautiful, UniS. I need to find some Christmas crafts suitable for all age groups, so will be 'adopting' Scout's candy cane reindeer. All other ideas welcome.
