Tea Room The 24th - San Francisco Painted Lady!

Welcome to the 24th incarnation of the One-Child Tea Room. Not that you only have to have one! Just so long as you enjoy chat, tea, coffee, cake!!

The usual rules apply - no bunfighting. If you like that sort of thing, go elsewhere.
Other rules: bring Wine. Or Brew.

Our ongoing voyage take us to one of San Francisco's Painted Ladies!

We've brought the Aga over, it's in the back in the cosy kitchen overlooking the back garden. The chintz sofa is in the front room, under the bow window! All of the pillows and duvets have come along as well!

What's that? The Priest Hole? It's just over there --> behind the bookcase!

Mellors is upstairs, preparing the bedrooms for naps and such. Wink

The aspidistras are thriving as they overlook Nob Hill! The horses have found themselves stabled in the Garden, which is much larger than these places usually are in this city!

So come in and have a seat!

::tea hurries off to Powell Street to catch the Cable Car to Ghirardelli Square::

We were running a bit late tonight so bath started at 645, rather than 630, he's usually asleep at 730, 8 at the latest. Not tonight.

I, too, was close to tears. I had plans for tonight. Not going out plans but staying in plans, if you know what I mean. Wink Now I'm too blessed tired and tomorrow the in laws descend...

Oh dear, Tee.

Will LCT have a mini lie-in tomorrow morning?

Scout19075 · 01/04/2011 21:57

Oh, and I do know what you mean. Think MrScout is leaning that way but I'm so full I could pop and it wouldn't be pretty.

Tee2072 · 01/04/2011 22:10

Probably not, but it's MrTee's turn to get up with him, so doesn't matter to me. Grin

Scout19075 · 01/04/2011 22:23

MrScout doesn't usually hear TS. So even if I send him to deal with TS I'm still wide awake!

::sneaks in, looking for leftover Bolly::

Tee2072 · 01/04/2011 22:25

We take turns co-sleeping with him, with me doing the majority, since I work for myself. But Fridays are my night off. Grin

Oh dear, a child has taken over MrScout..... He has, willingly and of his own free will, just put on a cartoon!

Who is this man sitting with me and what did he do with my MrScout?!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 01/04/2011 22:59

Oh dear, Scout. What cartoon is it?

Many thanks for the Wine.

Tee2072 · 02/04/2011 08:23

One birthday party guest to arrive 11.30 - need to make sandwiches, ice buns and finish cake before then.

Party 2.30 (opening up at 2) - clean up over by 5 - to get home... need to be at rehearsal for concert at 6.15..... I should sleep well tonight!

UniS · 02/04/2011 20:22

How was teh mistle chick fab -a -rooney space alien party thing.

Meal out was very nice, good food and company. Boy had a little lie in this morning so DH and I got to enjoy our selfs for a bit before teh day got going. Walk on the moor was OK, good to be out and we found 9 letterboxes and sited 2 ourselves but not so good to lose a radio ( walkie talkie) , DH retraced his steps but no sign. guess we will see how much another pair cost, 3 that work together would be quite usefull in some ways.

Scout19075 · 03/04/2011 04:43

Argh, stupid o'clock! I've been awake for ages. Sad

Happy Mothering Sunday!

Tee2072 · 03/04/2011 09:49

Happy Mother's Day!

So far I've gotten up with LCT (granted he slept until nearly 7) and made breakfast for all of us (MrTee's parents are here). I am thinking I am off back to bed once they leave in a bit. I need to read my iPhone and spend my iTunes voucher! Grin

Sorry you woke up so early Scout.

UniS sounds like a lovely day.

Mine don't seem to be fussed that its Mother's Day :(. DH is doing it all... feeling a bit neglected :(

purpleknittingmum · 03/04/2011 13:01

Happy Mother's Day!

I said a couple of weeks ago for nothing to be bought for me etc due to my daughter's recent attitude and behaviour. I didn't want it to be all false and fake

I think a chat must have been had, and I got a nightshirt with a cow on it (I like cows!) and breakfast in bed! My husband has done the ironing and we are off for a curry tonight!

Been busy clearing out the lounge as we are getting carpet fitted tomorrow!

thumbwitch · 03/04/2011 13:30

JM - sorry - haven't stopped by for a couple of days. Am ok thank you but grateful to be in Australia where it is not mother's day until June.

However I can join in with the non-sleeping woes! Our clocks changed last night (back one hour) and miniT decided to stay awake until past 10pm!! He is normally a late-to-bed anyway, at around 9, but he had a late and long nap yesterday and so was still hopping around at 10. Normally this would result in him sleeping in until 9am; and even with the loss of the hour, we could have expected 8am at the earliest - so what the heck he was doing awake at 6:30 I do NOT know! Mind you, it was probably Mr T's fault - he was awake at around 4:30 and clattering around in the kitchen, git that he can be. No thought for others.

Anyway - miniT in bed by 8:30 tonight (although in bodyclock time that is 9:30 so not unusual - but MrT went to bed at 7:45, which is just pathetic.Hmm. So he will be up at 5:30 again tomorrow - and I really hope that miniT sleeps through until at least 7:30, pref 8 so that we can get back into normal rhythm as soon as poss.

Scout19075 · 03/04/2011 16:03

I've been up since 3. I told MrScout I reserve the right to be crabby.

Jacksmania · 03/04/2011 16:25

((((SCOUT)))))
Brew? Or Wine?

Donki · 03/04/2011 17:43

Scout I think that being crabby is quite reasonable uner the circumstances!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/04/2011 19:18

Since 3?

::faints at the very thought::

I've had a lovely day. I'm sorry that Mary's and PKM's haven't been all that they could be.

Wine Wine Wine

teafortwo · 03/04/2011 19:48

'appy Mums day to all who want it and are enjoying it my sympathies to anyone not in this group!

Mothers' Day isn't until late May (I think) over here. I like it that I have a day to celebrate the wonderfulness of my Mum and one to be treated myself!!! Grin

I am SOOOOOOOO tired - WHAT a weekend - this is the first moment since Saturday midday that we have had an only child! Last night we somehow ended up with... FOUR !!!!

Wine time?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/04/2011 19:50

Definitely, Tea. Didn't you see that I'd laid out some Wine Wine Wine on the sideboard?

teafortwo · 03/04/2011 19:53

Oh yes! Fab, fab, fab!!!!
