Got steak pies reduced at morrisons when we stopped on way home so had one for tea. Having a cuppa and a biccy now. Its been raining all afternoon and blooming cold.

Gave in and pulled on the fleece and had a quick 20 min nap😄

Just had gammon for tea it was delicious 😋, l don't know why we don't have it more often. Having a cuppa too now 😁☕

We are the same we love gammon @DirtyGertiefromno30 don't get it that often though. (Its sometimes tricky to get just right😆) Must try harder😄
Jammies on, slobbing on sofa. My knees and hips are complaining its such a pia.

Need to get my self moving tomorrow and do stuff!

I froze a piece a few months back and got it out of the freezer yesterday and it defrosted in about 3 hrs , put it in the slo cooker on high for 3 and half hours and it was perfect . But l agree it's all chance 🤞. Sorry you are in a lot of pain hope it doesn't last much longer 🙏. Just had hot chocolate and a Twirl blooming yummy 🤤 😁 😋

Ha ha I am hoping its raining in morning so my mechanic will take pity on me and run me home😆

Nice day so far, fingers crossed.
Took car to garage and timed it well. My mech' was taking a van out to see if he could hear a noise and gave me a lift home.😄
Gotta find the enthusiasm to do something constructive today. I really want to get out front and clear up the gravel...Will see.

I am on my way to see Mum, Kim Clam refused to stay at home because of his rib pain for me to go on my own , l don't mind going on my own at all but he wanted to come . I hope Mum is ok this morning it's draining when she's not good tbh . Fingers crossed 🤗🙏🤞.

Have gone crazy! Washing is on. Bathroom scrubbed just floor to do later. Attacked kitchen and the oven! Top oven is done, have a glass out the bottom door lying covered in oven cleaner, rest is done. Floor is a blooming mess now😄 will do that after i finish.

Coffee time while hopefully the dried on greasy mess dissolves. Who's stupid idea was this? 😆

Thank you @Thebookofcarolagain! Mum's doing well she was marvellous today thank God. You've been a absolute whirlwind! 🌪️ The oven cleaner soak coffee break is a sacred tradition , you've officially earned it ☕🤣. Sit back, enjoy the caffeine, and let the chemicals do the hard work !

Oven glass isn't totally clean, some tiny bits just wont budge but it will do. Bathroom floor done, kitchen cleaned up. Ds1 is gonna cook his pie, well he is supposed to be. Will do kitchen floor after. Phew! Sick of housework already😁

You've done brilliant work getting through all that @Thebookofcarolagain ! The oven glass is good enough for sure , the bathroom is done, and the kitchen is sorted. That is a massive chunk of the house sorted great stuff!
Makes sense to hold off on the kitchen floor until DS1 finishes cooking the pie, anyway. You might as well make the most of the break while he's in there!
As for the front outside, that wind sounds miserable. Definitively a good idea to stay warm indoors and leave the garden till it dies down a bit 😁
Just had gammon sarnies for dinner now having a nice cuppa . Bought a load of chocolate from the market 🤤😋 for my Mum not me 🤣, changed me books home now . Nice cuppa now ☕.

God almighty @Thebookofcarolagain we sorted out 6 bags of books for charity this afternoon . Just delivered them all to the shops now as well. Phew!! Have cleaned the downstairs toilet and put the hoover over the bedrooms and put the washing away . I am having a nice cuppa now .

Well car failed mot on brakes! It's running better than my last 2 cars! Mech is gonna price it up and I've to phone tomorrow afternoon. The list looks awful but they have to put every part down, he said its not as bad as it looks . Brake hoses are under advisory so will just get them done while they are at it. There goes my life savings 😁😁

So now I am stuck in house with no car. Hey ho.

Nightmare about the MOT @Thebookofcarolagainbut honestly it's a great idea to just get the brake hoses sorted at the same time since it's already in the shop. Glad your mechanic is being straight with you , those failure lists always look like a death warrant when it’s usually just standard wear and tear.
Fingers crossed the quote tomorrow afternoon doesn't totally destroy the savings account 🙏🤞.

Yeah mot is a pia. Thought there night be something with handbrake but every brake? Heck i use them a lot around here cos of terrible drivers and not a problem!
Yep it looks like a shopping list @DirtyGertiefromno30 . Will ask him about the other stuff tomorrow as in when does he think they will need checking. Its mostly just surface rust etc as you say but best to check.

MOT day is always such a pain @Thebookofcarolagain! Glad you're snuggled up under the fleece 🤗. Definitely get the garage to break down what actually needs doing versus what's just surface stuff tomorrow.

Started of lovely here but now more cloudy and cooler.
Ds1 needs to go down the street to chemist and i need to go to HC for hosp meds so have a long walk to do at some point. Will pop to coop for bread or bakers if its still open while I am there. Fingers crossed it doesn't decide to rain.
