Thanks for the heads up re the new thread , new one here hope everyone finds us 🤗.

Went down street to chemist. Went to ice cream parlour for an ice cream. Ordered a tiramisu. Got half way along harbour and realised it was just coffee ( it was next to tiramisu in chiller) cba to go back so kept walking. Was going along beach front and got swooped by a fecking gull. Chased it off. Walked a bit further and got wellied in head by it as it nicked the wafer and top bit off my ice cream. Ooouuuch! Swung my bag at it on the wall a couple of times but missed. Threw ice cream in the bin. Arrghhhh.
Went to coop for bits and got a cherry magnum. Sat on bench and after a couple of minutes the same bloody seagull was flying around me! Gave up and went to car. And the bloody ice cream wasn't all that special either. What a waste of money all round.
Get lost you flying rats. Bloody tourists feeding the feckers, hope they wallop you on the head and then drop thier toxic waste on you next time.

I was laughing but felt so sorry for you too @Thebookofcarolagain 🤣! Trust that flying rat to come back for round two! 😳 Getting whacked on the head must've hurt, and what a waste of money. You've done loads today though, so I hope you can take it easy now and give your back a rest. Fingers crossed the seagulls pick on the people feeding them next time! 🤣

Just had pizza very nice but l know the ones l will be buying from now on . The garlic bread pizza from Goodfellows they are the nicest imho. 😋😁

Had a coffee, sat on sofa, listened to history guy, had a nap, got washing in.
Had picky bits of a lunch about half 2 so not sure what to do for tea before 8. Not cooking anything that's for sure.
Glad you found a decent pizza to put on your list, that's a start.

Nothing wrong with a lazy afternoon now and then @Thebookofcarolagain🤗 ! I'm sure you'll find something easy for tea later , what about egg and bacon 😀 yummy . And yes, I'm really pleased I found that pizza too it's definitely gone on my list! 🍕😁. Dunno what to watch now the football and Wimbledon are over , never mind it's the commenwealth games on Thursday 😊

Its really hot, well for here it is😁. Car thermometer said 22. Weather app says 15! Not a chance its roasting 😁
Still haven't decided if iwant something or not its too hot to care.

I don’t blame you not wanting to think about food either @Thebookofcarolagain 🙄. This sort of heat just makes you lose all motivation to cook and clean 🤣. Maybe something cold and easy later when you can face it. A nice cold glass of something 😁

Pottery day. Have job centre this afternoon for a kind of seminar where they give out info etc. Hopefully be interesting.

I've been in the sea today! Very unusual for me, but it was lovely and warm. Off to explore a castle this afternoon and ice cream of course

Well that was short because nobody else turned up! He skipped all the stuff that wasnt applicable to me and we just covered all the rest and any future things that will come up. Plus he said he could help me with a new CV if i needed one. Handy.

We are in @DirtyGertiefromno30 's neck of the woods, but by the coast obviously. The water has been really lovely - as has the ice cream The steep hills to walk up and down, the narrow lanes to navigate even as a passenger and a bed that isn't yours is always the downside, but it has been lovely to get away.

Ooh lovely @FridayNighFeeling . When we were in Wales we couldn't get in the sea somedays cos of a plague of jellyfish! Reslly annoying.

Tea is on. Just chicken ' stew' with Ayrshire baby potatoes nice and easy. Sun is out now! I suppose i will have to water pots out front later.

You've got the best of both worlds @FridayNighFeeling sounds like a lovely break . I'm glad the sea was warm enough to enjoy, and you definitely can't beat ice cream by the sea 🍦. The hills, narrow lanes and sleeping in a different bed are all worth putting up with when you're somewhere so lovely. Hope you have wonderful time 😁🤞.

Listening to ASMR Historian on The Black Death. It's terrifying, not only the huge spread but due to the lack of medical knowledge the atrocities that were carried out blaming certain groups of people for it. Plus the fact that people running away from cities and towns took it with them infecting the rural areas. Not to mention the way people with it were treated. And of course it wasn't ever wiped out! There have been cases and deaths from it in USA even recently! The CDC has a page giving advice how to avoid it!
And afterwards the everyday workers, vassels etc were determined to get proper wages for thier work and because there were so few people left it worked to start with till the moneyed lot decided to put a stop to that. Those peasants getting above thier station...and made laws to curtail wages, conditions of employment, and owning land etc back down to pre plague levels! It's fascinating.

Sun is still blazing out front so will wait a bit to water pots.

Aw thank you re the stray tatties they were delicious 😋 @Thebookofcarolagain 😁 .It's heartbreaking how fear and lack of medical knowledge led to people being blamed and treated so badly. History can teach us so much. Enjoy your ASMR, and hopefully it'll cool down enough to water the pots later!
