Oh I looked at the plastic info thingy in the tomatoes and it says harvest from July to October so there might be hope yet! Will see.

Been to see Mum who was fine there thankfully. Washed her hair and did her nails . Just had a nice cuppa and strawbs and cream 🤗😋.
Oh no, what a pain @Thebookofcarolagain! 😩 I'd have been fed up too having to strip the whole bed and even the mattress cover. Hopefully your elbow settles down soon and stops leaking you poor thing 😱.

Been out and swept up the compost i left lying yesterday after all my repotting. I cba with it after all the falling business 😁
Took photos of my sunflowers, wouldn't let me post them yesterday, fingers crossed.
Ds2 is off to work not knowing what to expect. The boiler is burst and they expect them to boil water in pans to wash the greasy stuff before it goes in washer and a tea urn for washing thier hands. They are out of thier minds! Having to cook plus keep topping up urns and pans, waiting on huge pans to boil etc will be a nightmare, theres only 2 staff in kitchen fgs! Actually closing the kitchen was briefly considered but of course rejected. They wont get someone to even look at it till tomorrow and if it needs parts that will take longer how do they expect them to cope in high season with no hot water on tap?
Why does it say photos are too big? They are just normal photos!

Oh bless you @Thebookofcarolagain, I can just picture you out there sweeping up the compost after your repotting accident 😱 . I don’t blame you for leaving it after the fall. Glad you got back out there though, and I hope your sunflower photos finally upload because I want to see them 🌻
What a nightmare for Ds2 at work. I can’t see how they expect two staff to cook, clean, and keep boiling water for everything as well. It sounds exhausting and so stressful, especially at this busy time of year. Fingers crossed they get someone out quickly and it’s a simple fix. It's also blooming dangerous having panfuls of boiling water in a rushed busy kitchen 😱.
And typical technology re your pics 🙄.
Just going to have pizza again tonight , can't be bothered to do anything else.
DH out watering and we have all just watched the Sheep Detectives on Prime and loved it 😁

I have pork steals marinating in char sui sauce, fingers crossed they come out ok when cooked.
Still sunny but sure isn't hot!

It's sunny here too, but definitely not the heat we've had lately but still about 22C . Much nicer for getting a few jobs done not that l have done any 🤣🌞. Had my pizza , DH had gammon steaks and grilled veg 😁

Been out and fed everything. Then cut back this plant that grows everywhere, covers large part of gravel. It's nice but the seed heads are a pia they are like velcro and leave you covered in little green seeds. Cut it all back at side of house and under whirly. Will do our front tomorrow
(Maybe you or your dh wll know @DirtyGertiefromno30 , I can't find it anywhere. Its fairly low growing about a couple of feet tops, and sprawls out ) its maybe classed as a weed but its nice so I leave it.
Didn't realise time, just put tea on!

It's amazing how quickly those little jobs turn into a couple of hours @Thebookofcarolagain . That plant sounds lovely until the seed heads start hitching a lift on everything 🤣. DH said is it Goose Grass ? Or the rude name is Sticky Willy 🤣. Have put a picture up of it here, it's very pretty 😍 . Hope you got to put your feet up and enjoyed your tea 😋.

All well here , its a lot cooler so been busy , unsurprisingly 😄

Glad to hear all is well DirtieGertie even if the car service is expensive ( always a bit of a money pit , even if you isn't going wrong ! )
Well, DD2 got off on her holidays , and we are looking after their cat , so go around each day . She said to take anything out of the fridge that wouldn't last, so we are having some inventive meals to use up the things as they go out of date . Its also a long time since I had a childrens fromage frais 😂 I have paid my way by bringing home all the washing , so she doesn't have that to do when she gets home .
My courgettes have started to produce , so have started on the recipes to use them up ( picked 5 yesterday) , and I have frozen the first proper picking of french beans too . Plenty of cucumbers , and the cherry tomatoes are getting going enough to pick enough every day for lunch . Other than that the garden is decidedly crispy , it is just so dry , and I dont water . I do need to go and harvest my poppy and foxglove seeds .
I am looking forward to a 'chilly' night , hoping to sleep better !!

Hope the cat sitting is going well, and I love the inventive fridge meals 😂 Taking the washing home is a great trade, I’m sure DD2 will appreciate it when she’s back.
Your garden sounds amazing despite being so dry. Courgettes, beans, cucumbers and tomatoes are a brilliant harvest, and it’s lovely having your own bits for lunch.

UP early could not get back to sleepno matter what. Nice and cool this morning 😊. Probably going to Cwmbran to suss out any gf stuff in Lidl . I have done Tesco , Waitrose, Morrisons and Aldi only Sainsbury's and Lidl left 🤣. Will ransack their shelves this morning 😁.

Ds2 survived work as it was very quiet prob because the kitchen was closed in morning so people just presumed it was still closed. But the big biss told them that if they felt carrying the big pots of boiling water was too dangerous they were perfectly at liberty to say no not doing it and close the kitchen. Amazing! Common sense from big boss!

Got another Skyrim story last night. Just listened to it as fell asleep before it finished as it was late. 😄 Another completely different direction, so good.

Discovered a lovely bruise on my leg this morning and my elbow is nicely discoloured too😁 I must try not to do that again 🤣

I am so pleased your DS2's shift turned out okay @Thebookofcarolagain, and what a relief the big boss had the sense to tell them they didn't have to risk carrying those huge pots of boiling water. Their safety is far more important than keeping that kitchen open 👏.I did find some nice gluten free treats, a ready meal of chicken tikka masala in Sainsbury's, rice cakes and GF monster claws in Lidl . Not found much else tbh though but l will keep trying thank you 🙂👍. Had to smile at your Skyrim story , they're obviously doing the trick if they're sending you off to sleep! 😄 As for the bruises, bless you ,I hope they're not too sore 🤗. Hope the chemist trip is quick and easy, the hospital meds get ordered, and you enjoy a gentle afternoon in the garden. Take care of yourself. 🤗 I am having the ready meal for dinner and it's very nice tbf l will buy it again 😁

Been out front cutting back. I need to pull up a million seedlings but that can wait, I did done but back wasn't happy. Might have got more aquilegia seeds in bottom border too when i put washing out. 🤣 Had a cuppa now going out back to do raised bit. Its lovely and hot for a change!
Ordered my meds. Will go to chemist when ds2 goes to work and give him a lift down.
