Morning all. Yet another cloud ridden day here.

Been out sweeping up around the house and tidying up. Still a bit to do but back is protesting loudly. Bin is out for collection so will finish when it's back. Where does all the mess come from?
Coffee and biccie time i think.

Finished sweeping, found a toad behind a bag of compost! Emptied some pots as a few of my paper flower seedlings gave up 😡 But a little sunflower is still growing in another which was a surprise I thought they had all died. Watered all the pots out back.
Sun is actually out now!
Nowt else to do, hmmmmm..what to do next???😉

Love you found a little toad hiding behind the compost bag 🐸 and what a lovely surprise that one little sunflower has survived 🌻. Sometimes the stubborn ones are the best! Fingers crossed those bins finally got emptied 🙄🙏🤞🤗.
Been busy here, took Mums friend shopping, then we did a bit of shopping then popped up to see my Mum's friend. Came back and been searching for a garage to do a service on our and Dd2 car finally found one to do a full service for £205. The others all wanted £250 plus 🙄. DH having curry for tea l am having baked pots and cheese 😋

Busy busy @DirtyGertiefromno30 . Crikey you need a good sit down. Blimey £205! At least they were cheaper than the rest (not saying much!)
Ds2 went to put his washing out and i showed him the 'toad' I had a better look and we decided it was a frog as its different colour not dark and bumpy. Looked it up and I guess its a common frog by its colouring. Oh well makes a change and frogs dont crawl along in that creepy way😁
Finished out back l, put some polyanthus out front beside the dahlia. My rectangle tub at front door is a real disaster this year. Nothing is thriving except one thing. Gonna empty it out and re fill it once season ends. Have a huge plant in it that's thriving ( its prob a 'weed') but its got flowers coming and everything else in there is rubbish😄
Steak pie (well stew and puff pastry on top😉) and mash for tea plus strawbs, rasps and chantilly cream. The strawbs i got are huge this time! Yummm. Made jam tart with rest of pastry as too much for one sitting 😋

That's lovely to find a frog instead of a toad , they're such good little helpers in the garden. Shame about the front tub, but there's always one that refuses to play ball, isn't there? Your tea sounds absolutely delicious, especially those huge strawberries and the jam tart. Hope the washing up wasn't too painful and you've managed to put your feet up now. 😊

Popped up to Tesco for some milk and on the way up there we were stopped by the traffic ,there must have been an accident, DH got out and went to have a look and took some photos . A van on its side , nothing else involved God knows what happened 😱.

Funnily enough was watching Ryan on YouTube this morning while i had my brekkie, and he was doing Australian truckers dash cams. Holy heck! Terrifying! Some idiot drivers out there, they are everywhere!
Dishes done, had cuppa now slobbing on sofa on Skyrim.😁
Will reserve judgement on the frog until it starts esting all the slugs! Toads didn't do much at all they would be sitting next to one and never touch it!
Laughing my head off, ds2 came down with his dishes. I asked how tea was, he said it was 'alright' grinning at me....I did a Frankenfurter impersonation "ALRIGHT! ALRIGHT? " Ds went into a ridiculous nonsense about it being food for the gods, excellent, exquisite, how privileged he was i made it for him. I nearly choked on my tea laughing.🤣 (I knew he liked it cos he was asking about the cream before he took it upstairs. I was just teasing him)

Oh you do make me laugh @Thebookofcarolagain! I can just picture your Frankenfurter impression and your poor DS2 laying it on thick. Sounds like he definitely enjoyed his tea 😄 . Those Australian dash cams are enough to make your hair stand on end aren't they? There are some absolute muppets on the roads. Hope your frog turns out to be a proper slug muncher and earns his keep 🤣. Enjoy your Skyrim session you've definitely earned a sofa evening tonight 😁

Beautiful day here 28C and that's hot enough thank you lol . Just having some dinner, bit of toast a banana and a nectarine. Washing out . Have to pop to Town later for some Cornettos for Mum and Magnums for us lol . They didn't have any ice creams we liked left yesterday boo hoo 🤣.

Sun is blazing in through livingroom window now @DirtyGertiefromno30 😡 Had to shut curtains.

I was getting peckish when ds2 made himself something at 3 before work. Just had cheese, mini pork pie and bit of nice bread and crisps. Ds2 got strawb/cream slices and gave one to me. Very nice but nearly impossible to cut! 😄

Been out to check garden, dead headed more poppy seed heads, pulled red campions round whirly that are starting to go to seed. My nasturtiums at bottom bed are doing well despite being at the back and overshadowed. Climbing up the wall as well as spreading! Lovely flowers will get some seeds for next year 😉
Will need to pot on a succulent up in my bedroom tomorrow, its got a few babies i see and pot is rather small now and my 3 baby jade stalks are really getting quite big, just from 3 leaves. Might need to pot them up too before they break the pot😁
What a shame about the ice creams, no fair. Get double the amount tomorrow just in case of future emergencies.😉

Your garden sounds like it’s doing so well. Those Nasturtiums sound beautiful climbing up the wall, definitely worth saving seeds for next year 🌸 It’s lovely seeing your little Succulent babies and Jade plants growing so well too.

Went to the isle of Solstein in Skyrim, (even paid for a boat!) bought stuff, went for a walk and it froze, restarted it and it did the same in the same place so came home. Next time I will just jump to another location on the island from the town, fingers crossed. I need a new game, it doesn't load up all the add ons from 2nd disc and I am getting annoyed at it. Put up with it for long enough.😄

I have a large jade plant i mean not huge, but I cant repot it as its cracked the pot and it was my mums pot so as long as its holding together its staying 😁

Skyrim sounds like it’s really trying your patience @Thebookofcarolagain🙄. After paying for a boat and getting frozen out in the same place, I don’t blame you for being annoyed. Hopefully jumping to another location works . Your Jade plant sounds lovely 🌱 I love that you’re keeping it in your Mum’s pot too . Some things are too special to replace, cracks and all ❤️.

Stupid weather! Black clouds, a start of rain then nothing. Do I go water my pots or not? Make your damm mind up! .
Repotted my succulents. What a faff to try to get plastic pots to fit my ceramic ones. Wanted inner pots to be able to drain them properly. Finally managed to match one but the other is just in a plastic pot😡 Need to hunt down a bigger ceramic pot in charity shop sometime, they rarely have them though.
Had to move the bag of compost as it was over the succulent bag, flipping frog is still there!
I suppose I better go water, my sunflowers need a drink. Have a new dark sunflower out😍

OMG that garden will be the death of me!
Been out watering then decided to put my baby lupins into her pits as done are thriving and others dying. Did that and potted up the aquilegia seedlings that were self seeded too. Chopped more poppy seeds, chopped toadflax out front and decided to go get the twine for the sunflowers. I caught my foot on either the oavibgbir a planting having and went flying, trued to stop myself on the big stone circle I have my dahlia pot in but nope...down i went half sideways onto the gravel. I scraped a long scrape on my leg and took a chunk out my elbow 😡 Ouch! Of course it right at front of house but luckily nobody around. What a numpty. Cleaned myself up and sunflowers are all done everywhere. Definately coffee and bicvue time 😄 (and painkillers cos my elbow hurts like hell) Only me!!

I’m glad nobody was around to see the great garden fall though! Sounds like you gave yourself a proper knock bless you , especially your elbow. You poor thing . Get that coffee, biscuit and painkillers and put your feet up, you’ve definitely earned it ☕🍪
Your garden sounds amazing though, even with all the drama. The dark sunflower sounds gorgeous 😍 and I love that you’re still rescuing your little plants and giving them a chance.

Been busy here today shopping first thing then popped to see Mum on the way back , then lots of life admin . Emailed the health board re my Coeliac diagnosis to claim a card for help to buy gluten free bread and flour . Sent the meter readings in , sorted out my appointment in my diary for next Jan for clinic and blood tests put all the paperwork away .
Going to watch the golf now and then the F1 qualifying . Pizza again for tea 😋
