Ooh watching a video of baking round the world . Watching guys make Baklava. What a process, sooooo yummmm. Mind you its a very high end shop so I couldn't afford any of those hand made delights 😁😁
Another place making bread and pastries now I shouldn't watch it am getting jealous and hungry! 😁

That sounds amazing @Thebookofcarolagain 😋 . I love watching things like that, especially when you see all the care and skill that goes into making them. Baklava is delicious 😋.
Cooling down here now thankfully.

Watching bread shop now@DirtyGertiefromno30 They are making enough bread to feed an army and they pilled it up on a counter and the queue was already out the door and down the street! The counter emptied so fast! There was an never ending supply! Love it.

Morning all. Lovely day so far.

Been to job centre and coop (forgot biscuits!) . Electrician came. He said that the grill is on the same electric circuit as all the plugs and lights so that would trip them all. But the fire alarm tester wasn't working. They wouldn't switch off again! So he got a new one and finally they shut up!
No other plans today.

l have been busy here, had to pop in to see Mum , took her washing up, and gave her her tablets and a drink in passing . Only because l was passing on the way to going shopping and looking for more gluten free stuff for me . It's a nightmare 🥵and it is 30C here😱 we are going home now had enough tbh .

What a nightmare for gf free food @DirtyGertiefromno30 Hope you find something nice.
Been out pottering in garden. Moved my little fern in top border to other side it was looking baked! Cut almost all the poppy seed heads off, i don't want a gazillion poppies next year. I will take some seeds later. I am sure some of the plants in bottom border are weeds, poss fat hens. Will go back and compare photos and pull them up if nec. Put my biggest foxglove seedlings outside to get them used to it and stuck my big cactus out too😁 one of my indoor succulents is still going strong on the flowers, small but lots and gorgeous. Might put my small cactus out its flower kinda gave up the ghost but there're more buds.
Not in the mood for housework, really should run the hoover around though. 🤪

Arghh the flowers dont seem to be on the right bit for fat hen. All the photos i find vary! Does your dh know @DirtyGertiefromno30 ?

DH thinks it's willow Herb and he classes it as a weed because it takes over the place , Dh's words lol 🤣

That was his thoughts on the tall green plant but the flowers on the plant he thinks are something completely different called

You've been busy @Thebookofcarolagain! 😁 Good call moving the fern before it got frazzled, and I don't blame you for cutting the poppy seed heads back. Hope the foxgloves settle in outside, and your flowering succulent sounds lovely. I'd stay in the garden too, the hoover can wait! 🤪🌿

Thanks Mr @DirtyGertiefromno30 . I didnt think it was willow herbs cos its a bit more airy than it usually is but have had a look at photos and it could be. Oh well I am pulling it up. That sow thistle i think that's what we called a milky thistle as kids (not the milk thistle!) I had that too.😡
Am watching the tennis Fery is not doing very well. I doubt he can pull back.

It's difficult to identify l think @Thebookofcarolagain DH wasn't sure but was sure about the sow thistle, yes pull it up get rid you don't want it taking over the place 😁.

The deed is done! There were more in top border so they got the hoy too. There's something else but its smaller with tiny flowers so left it to see.
Planted out my new plants. Put one in gravel and bigger one with holly shaped leaves in top border. No idea what it is. Watered everything out back, will do rest once sun lowers a bit.
Having a salad for tea, just throwing everything at it. Boiled egg little bit of ham, mini pork pie salad stuff and cheese😁 ds1 will have to fend for himself. 😱

I'd always toast a bagel @DirtyGertiefromno30 hope it tasted better after a light tan.

Another roasting hot day, glad it's the weekend and 1 week countdown to the holiday is on!

Watering done. Had a nap and wasn't keen but dragged myself out 😁
Dishes done, me done and in my pjs. Had to water my succulents on my bedroom windowsill a couple were looking very dehydrated, oops!

Had my first easy day today - DH's sis is up here , and we have been keeping her company a lot . She went off to see an old friend today , so we went and did a big shop at the supermarket ( air conditioned bliss) , and I have sat and watched some tennis .
The heat has been brutal here , I am watering in my greenhouse twice a day , and the pots outside . But , I am picking cucumbers and tomatoes . The french beans and courgettes are ready too :)
Only a week to go with picking the twins up from nursery , and then they break up for summer , so just an odd time to babysit ahead for a few weeks .
Its cooler now , so DH and I are going for a little walk , as I am trying very hard to walk every day , and a little quicker too!
