I would be a wreck giving up gluten! Pies and cakes! I would have to bake my own with gluten free flour! Get looking at recipies😁

I am going to have to buy everything gffrom now on . Thank God l had a. ald8s 68kka in the freezer a f a bag of micro stable rice here could have e tonight. 😱

Morning all
After a cloudy start the sun is actually shining!
Put bin out then had a peruse of the garden. Found a small skinny red cosmos, a skinny daisy and a skinny scabiosa in a pot out front. Yeah! Staked the daisy cos its all twisty and falling over. Pulled the thistles out border, def milky thistles. Watered front pots and back pots.. deadheaded pandues and polyanthus. All but one of the "repotted and left to get on with it" polyanthus are flowering again. Yeah!
Got nothing on today, only day this week😁

I have been looking at one of the supermarkets (Waitrose) for gluten free foods and bought some gluten free Bagels and cottage cheese and some Frozen french fries so l can have bagels and cottage cheese and fruit for lunch and egg and chips for tea am looking forward to the egg chips Lol 🤣 can't have malt vinegar have you ever heard the like lol . Been busy , took car number 1 for brakes to the one garage and car no 2 to the other garage for a tyre . Then changed the beds did the washing , hoovered and cleaned the hall because we lost the front door key , found the key lol . What a mess 😱🤣.
Then DH lost his phone 🤣. Sister just told me Mum was fine there so l can relax now . Found Dh's phone and here l am just sat down 🤣

Sounds like your garden is paying you back tenfold @Thebookofcarolagain 😁👏. Finding those little flowers must have been a lovely surprise, and it's great the Polyanthus are flowering again. Hope the Daisy perks up now it's staked. Enjoy your rare day with nothing planned, and let's hope the sunshine stays for you too ! 🌞🌼

Ds2 has his washing out and i have a wash on. Amazing!
We are having chicken chow main for tea.
Been watching Tyler on you tube try Colemans mustard 😁 He did ok! But trying it on food i suspect was all cold. Putting it on mash and mac cheese instead of mixing it in when making it. Oh well at least he knows what mustard should taste like now instead of that yellow muck they have in USA 😁😁
Still sunny here, some white clouds but fingers crossed.

On my pjs chilling now. Still pretty warm at 20° . Ds2 is glad he was off today😁
Went out earlier to get bin in and decided to move dahlia as it was being overshadowed by other plants. Put it in a space in a pot out front. Fingers crossed. Watered it in and gave my lupins a drink too. Have lost a couple of them but still have a few. Top bed is full of poppies. While nice they are taking over. Def wont get a mixed seed packet again. Have a lot in bottom border too. Kinda looks over filled but once they are all seed heads will pull most up and keep a couple seed heads for seeds of the different colours.
Have almost given up on my cucumber still looks terrible all the flowers wilting despite bees or me at them with a tiny brush. Tom plants are still growing though. They've been outside in sun all day but cucumber has given up. Hopefully weather is ok tomorrow and I can pot up the toms and foxgloves. I completely forgot about doing them today.

Glad tea was a winner @Thebookofcarolagain , and an ice cream after is always a good shout! 😋
Hope the Dahlia likes its new spot. Shame about the lupins, but at least you've still got a few. Sounds like the poppies have completely taken over now! 😂
Such a pain about the cucumber after all your hard work. Good to hear the tomatoes are doing well 🤗.

Have a bunch of strawbs that are still hard but some going over so i have sorted them and put a little bit of sugar on them to soften and sweeten them a bit. Fingers crossed.
Having a plooter on Skyrim now.

Still no flowers on tomatoes though. Not sure if there ever will be!

@DirtyGertiefromno30 I'm sorry to hear you are indeed in for a GF lifestyle because it's a tricky one to manage. Please do rant about it as much as you like/need. Quinoa isn't too awful as a substitute to cous cous, rice obviously GF, rice noodles to replace normal if you eat those... but a lot to take on and not sure GF bread and cakes live up to the real thing - much improved though. Oh and you get lentil pasta in Tesco - it's the colour of red lentils, but cooks and tastes like normal pasta

I'll give the Tesco lentil pasta a try not sure Quinoa is my thing never tried it tbh but now is the time 😁. I'm hoping it all gets easier but at the moment it feels like a bit of a minefield. Thank you so much for the support, it really means a lot. Your temperature is a lot higher than ours here , 32C forecast here which is bad enough but 35C is awful 😱.
Re the GF bread and cakes l bought GF NYC bagels yesterday and they were so dry . I know bagels are dry but they are awful . And they are £3.25 😱
Like more than double normal the price of NYC bagels . I think l will toast them today and see what they are like toasted . Apparently in Wales they do give you a card to help pay for GF bread in the supermarket. I will have to Investigate this . I am determined to follow GF though . Fingers crossed 🤞.

Well we do have sun, but it's only to get up to 21 today then it's downhill and back to wind and rain Sat. Rubbish.
Tried to get a photo of moon last pm it was an amazing deep orange but no luck.
Waiting for boiler guy today to do routine check. Anytime this afternoon...very helpful 😄
Need to motivate myself. Done bits and bobs but need to decide what to do with my seedlings and toms.
I doubt I will get toms on them at all @DirtyGertiefromno30 . What a waste of money. That's good that you get help to buy GF stuff. Its ridiculously over priced.

I'm still learning the gluten free ropes 🙄. It really is shocking how expensive some of the GF foods are, so any help is definitely appreciated. I hope your tomatoes surprise you yet. I told him about the fuses all going. He tested the fire alarms at the main tester and it wouldn't go off! He said i should get HA to send an electrician to check it all. They should have done that to start with. So phoned and someone is coming tomorrow.

Went to pick up Ds2 . He has bern helping mate out. Her mum gave him 2 plants for me! 😄
The car thermometer said 27 !!!
Been sitting out at front doorstep for 15 mins am boiled! Back inside now.
Listened to the new Skyrim story and it didn't make me cry @DirtyGertiefromno30 🤣🤣 Was a nice gentle one, definately a message there but I didn't cry😉
