Your garden is coming along so well though. Don't worry about the gaps , they're all part of the process, and it gives you the excuse to buy more Dahlias! 🌸 As for the seedlings, fingers crossed they're flowers and not a surprise crop of milk thistles! 🤣

All done and in pjs. Watched the story agsin. Very sad but very clever. Takes one of the quests in Skyrim and its a story of what happened before you do it, slightly tweaked and ends with the 'some day a stranger will come by and see the girl and ask questions and it will begin to end this...'
Then watched one i didn't finish cos I fell asleep. Very sad and he poses so many questions without asking them. Enough to scramble your brain if you delved into it. He has such a way with words, brilliant storymaker and teller.
Now watching a history programme about over 100 male skeletons found in York, all buried in groups side by side which they think so far were from the civil war. Two had bone deformities, one very slight, one had one elbow and one knee deformities which were severe and very rare. Fascinating.

It sounds sad but brilliantly done @Thebookofcarolagain. I love stories that make you think, and he sounds like a fantastic storyteller.
The skeleton programme sounds fascinating too. Imagine uncovering all that history.

Going to the pictures this morning to see Supergirl . Dd1 wanted to see it so off we are going ☺️ . Weather ok here dry and a nice temperature thank God 🤗. Even more footy and Tennis later bring it on 😁.
The NHS prescription app has failed already 🙄, just like we all knew it would . I will have to pop into the surgery and get my prescription done by the GP 😂.

Shame about the prescription app @DirtyGertiefromno30. I just order on the HC website, it basically fills in all your details for you and you just order what you want or you can hand repeat prescription into chemist.

It was light rain when we got home so not too bad. Ds2 can carry 4 heavy bags at a time so he only had to go back once.! I had the giant pack of loo rolls and kitchen towels. Of course the handle on loo rolls burst! Useless.
Rain stopped and it was sunny again so left plants out. (No bargains to be had in HB this time. Was looking at the dahlias but I had them, the guy moving plants said theres more dahlias at the end. Ds2 said oh thanks did you have to tell her? while laughing. 😆😆)
Ds2 fancied lemon sole so he went into Morrisons for it so that's tea tomorrow.
Got more lemons and sugar hopefully there's a few elderflowers left, we only have one bottle left! Giving myself more work!

You definitely won @Thebookofcarolagain🤣! It must feel good getting everything in the freezer thank God for that 😁.
Glad the rain held off, and well done to DS2 carrying all those bags bless him. Typical that the loo roll handle broke , they have a habit of doing that 🙄.
Your HB story made me laugh. 😆 DS2 must've known you'd be looking at the Dahlias! DH was looking for more Dahlias there on the weekend but they were all gone . He rates their plants , course it's all whether their suppliers are good but the weather has been conducive for them to grow so they have been lucky with the rain and warmth if they are from around here .
Lemon sole sounds lovely, and fingers crossed there are enough elderflowers left for another few bottles, it's delicious 😋
I really enjoyed the film, thanks, and it was a relief getting the prescription sorted too. Now put your feet up you've earned it! ☕
Watching the Virtanen v Shelton match, it's been a good match , both played well but Virtanen just pipped him.

Talk about daft! Ds2 and I were trying to find a nice bread to try for a change. (Have white in house for ds1😁) Thrre were several 'toastie' type breads, too thick.and not much use as the grill is broken. (And I wanted less thick bread) Then I got crumpets for a treat. Got home and looked at them and said how the hell am i gonna toast these? Cue us both laughing at my stupidity. Hmm might try air fryer tomorrow? 😄
Had tea, kinda stuffed had chips instead of potatoes, need a cuppa. Ooh might have a bun 😄
I know @DirtyGertiefromno30 those loo bag handles nearly always break. I get the 32 pack and I had my stick shoulder bag, loo rolls and pack of 3 huge kitchen towels, what a faff to get to the house without dropping it all.😄
I think i need to see optician to get my new glasses adjusted properly. They seem to slip right down onto the bone of my nose and are digging a hole! By night time its damm sore. I keep pushing them up to no good effect. Will try the kettle steam to adjust them but if not will phone.

😂😂 You had me laughing @Thebookofcarolagain! Buying crumpets, then getting home and thinking, Hang on how the hell am I supposed to toast these! 🤣 Hope the air fryer saves the day! I have edi toast in there before now so l think I you will be fine 😁.

Ds2 got a tiramisu cake and offered me a slice. But I had just had my bun! So had just a taste, not too shabby for a cheap cake😁

Oh those lamb shanks reminded me ds2 was gonna see if they had ham shanks on offer in morrisons, they often do. He didn't get any so I suppose they didn't.

Popping in to say hello .
We had a tiring weekend driving down to Ipswich to see DH's sister . So so hot , but very straightforward drive ( I was really glad we booked an hotel room with air conditioning) . It is very tough for her down there by herself , but she is bearing up . we are having a lot of phone calls now we are back home though , with lots of empty hours on her hands .
It has cooled down a bit here at least for this week , so I have cracked on with some chores as best I can .
BookofCarol - shame about the poppy seeds - I have loads more if you want ? I am a bit profligate with them and just chuck them willy nilly on bits of bare earth , so no idea of the germination rate !
I would love to get some rain here - there is nothing on the forecast , and even when there is , is doesn't turn up . The garden is looking very droopy apart form my pots , which get watered .
Just bumbling along for the rest of the week, apart from DGS has an end of term concert this week , so we are off to see him singing .

I have plenty poppy seeds thanks, it was the borage you sent me. I got one good plant out of them but I didn't take seeds in time and have had none since will def takes seeds from this new one.
Bathroom done, bed changed, washing on (stupid machine keeps stopping still) its coffee time.

Dark clouds gathering so doubt if I will get wash out. Then again they could just go over! Weather cant make up irs mind
