18° feels almost chilly after the last few days @Thebookofcarolagain 😂 and of course the thunderstorms have been pushed back yet again 🙄.
A sofa doze sounds well deserved l might just copy that 🤣.
That washer stopping again would drive anyone mad. I would want to kick it till it gave in 🤣 . That or until l broke me toe 🤣 . Hope the bread run is easy thick bacon butties will be worth it though. Absolutely gorgeous 😋
7th July for bloods is ridiculous, but at least it’s booked.
Watching the Isle of Wight concert , brilliant, got to get my viewing in before the footy 🤣.

Still misty here with sun peeking through at times.

My stupid washer kept playing up. I gave up and put it on spin then rinse and spin so it got done but no point putting it out. Must have a look at it tomorrow @DirtyGertiefromno30 .
Pottered in gravel, pulled a few things out but theres so much just going crazy. At least it covers the horrid gravel. Forgot to go back and dig out the big dandelion! I let them flower for the bees then pull them out.
Went to coop for bread and bits. Got an apple crumble in reduced section. Hopefully 😋
Just had a BLT and crisps for tea, quite enough as it's kinda warm/muggy, not hot but dont need a big meal.

Everything done in plenty time tonight! Might just get the ol pjs on...

Sounds like a good day despite the washer being a pain @Thebookofcarolagain! At least you got the washing done in the end. Hope it's something easy .
Your gravel garden sounds lovely. The bees will have enjoyed those dandelions .

I have put my washing on now l couldn't bear going out in 35C heat so l will leave it to get darked on 😂

It was too misty here to put wash out and we just had a shower of rain. Bleurgh.
Ds1 asked if somethin had happened before we went to coop as he heard a clatter. I wasn't aware. But when I went up to get ready for bed my window had been blown wider than it had been and obviously pulled air out with it...a photo frame on a shelf had been dislodged and fell down taking my porcelain Peter Rsbbit with it...I found his head beside the frame and body almost under them bed. 😢 It was given to ds1 when a baby. Dammm. Gonna glue the head back on its a pretty clean break. Frame is damaged too but I think i have spare ones
What next??????

Oh no! 😢 Poor Peter Rabbit. What a shame @Thebookofcarolagain, especially as he was given to DS1 as a baby. At least it was a clean break, so hopefully he'll glue back together nicely. The frame sounds fixable too.

Had cheese and tomato sarnies again for tea just can't be bothered to do anything else it's so blinking hot here!
Football on in a bit , a nice wind has gone up ,so l think my washing will dry in time, so l won't have to be a rebel after all 🤣

Sun has the cheek to be blazing in my living room window in evening. Where was it all day? Have to shut the damm curtains as its right on me.
We have a right breeze here to @DirtyGertiefromno30 wish the weather would just be nice and act like its summer all day every day till autumn.
Fingers crossed for washing, but being a rebel is the way to go😁

Absolutely melted here and same temp tomorrow. I have worked all through - no rest for the wicked with the added complication of having DS home. Off tomorrow too, so he's pleased.

Honestly that sun’s got some nerve @Thebookofcarolagain 😂 hiding all day then showing off right in your eyes when you’re trying to settle down!
I have got the washing in , only a couple of bits need finishing off in the garage so that is good 👍 😊. No darkening going on here tonight 🤣
It's hard going this weather when you aren't even working let alone when you are @FridayNighFeeling . And looking after your DS as well, hopefully it's breaking tonight and will be cooler tomorrow fingers crossed for you 🤞🙏🤗

Well never had any storm overnight. Cloudy again but blue sky trying to get through. Sun shining through the gaps. Rain is forecast oh joy.

It's been a hellish night here , absolutely awful, so bad , hardly any sleep and terrible thunder and lightning for ages at half one . Up early in the garden at half 5 to get some air . Been like someone with a lobotomy so exhausting . I totally understand what you mean @FridayNighFeeling
l hope its not as bad as predicted for you . Supposed to be 27C here today and l am very ok with that 🤣🙏🤞.

Well that result has really shaken things up @Thebookofcarolagain 😄 Poor Germany fans, but fair play to Ecuador, what a result! Won't know till Sunday about Scotland and their chances but l have everything crossed for them .
We are off to Bristol airport to pick up DD2 from her holiday in a bit thank God for the A/C in the car .

catching up with you all.
It has been hot here too , but we had a lovely ( but short lived) thunderstorm this morning , but today is supposed to be the hottest one here - forecast for 37º at 3 this afternoon .
DH and I went to the shops last night at 9 to go when it was cooler .
Very continental here - all windows/curtains closed on the big windows facing south , all the doors windows open facing north . Then swap them around as the sun moves ( we are more south /east than south facing , but big windows.)
We have had some bad news though . My lovely sis in law (who lives in Tenerife in the winter) rang us to say her husband died on Saturday . They are over here for the summer as always .
We were due to go down today , but she got worried about us travelling in the heat today , so we are going down tomorrow to see her for the weekend . It was all a bit of a shock , and she will need a fair amount of support - her family are all up here near us , and the rest of her friends are in Tenerife. But she is a long way away sadly , and we will now be popping back and forth rather .

Its just normal here, we had rain earlier and pretty misty and overcast. Just rubbish. Rain is forecast again later. Tomorrow the same with winds and low temps. 😡 says there are thunderstorms threatening today again but I doubt it.
Have just pottered with housework, oh the joys.
Might be coffee time again.😁

Apparently we did have thunder and lightning overnight. Ds2 heard a bit of it, his pal filmed it i just slept through it! 😄

Oh bless her @bookbook , I'm so very sorry to hear that. What a dreadful shock for you all, and my heart really goes out to your sister-in-law. I'm glad she's got her family close by, even if it's a bit of a journey, and I'm sure she'll really appreciate having you there this weekend. Home now after a long old day , it was 32C here today l am so glad we were in the car for most of it 😄

Just woke up! This is ridiculous! Had a little nap after tea! Had a huge salad and some apple crumble which wasn't bad at all. Was blooming colder earlier, back in winter pjs!
